Time Magazine: "Shadow Campaign" Influenced 2020 Election Against Trump (2/9 1:54 PST) (1 Viewer)

But yet we are told a couple of people shouting and a social media post is conclusive evidence that the people in DC were not protestors but part of a planned well-coordinated insurrection to overthrow our government..  There are two standard in America, one with how you treat those you sympathize politically with and one on how you treat those on the other end of the spectrum.
A couple of people shouting? Did you watch the video the House Managers showed yesterday? What the heck are you talking about?

🤣🤣🤣

Time magazine admits that everything Trump said about conspiracies to get him out of office is true from Big Tech CEOs controlling the flow of information, to states changing election rules well before Covid even hit to hiring their own personal poll watchers and the response to this admission is... Good.

Do yourself a favor. Take this article. Read it with the names reversed. Say Trump used the exact same tactics; put together a coalition of Big Tech CEOs to suppress information, state government officials to change voting laws and machines and ground troops to disrupt and disenfranchise voters in America to ensure the "proper" outcome was obtained (him being reelected). Is this still a good thing?

Not sure you could have read that article and really come to this conclusion.  Because no...Time magazine's piece did not confirm much of anything Trump actually said.

I think it would be wise to actually read the article...read what they are actually saying...then determine why its a bad thing that people were trying to ensure everyone could vote and have their vote counted.  And why seemingly one side is against such a thing.

If you read the article and came away with "ensuring everyone could vote and have their vote counted" then you are inferring something completely different than what was written. I think your final sentence sums that up nicely. Say something incorrect than ask dishonest question as to why opponents would be against such falsehood to deflect from the nature of the article. Bragging about government and corporations colluding to "fortify" the "proper" outcome of an election. You and people like you are why they can openly admit to it. They know half the people won't care so long as the wrong guy doesn't win.

Proper outcome...as in all votes counted.

It wasn't about the wrong guy as in guy they didn't like...it was as in what Trump claimed to be about...but making sure the actual winner won.  That is what we had.  All votes counted.  That is what we should want.  Bogus challenges and all...they and we all should strive for that.

And save the dishonest talk...just completely bogus to make that claim about what I stated or the question I ask.  But typical as well.

Many Americans feel that all votes we're not counted. Many feel that the rules regarding mail in ballots were dangerously unsecure and laws were put in place without proper procedure at many state levels. We have hundreds of accounts of voter intimidation by this "hand selected army of poll workers" but of course all those are just losers whining about losing right?

Again, ask yourself, if all these issues were being brought up and Trump won by an unprecedented 80m votes, would a Time magazine article explainig how Trump colluded with corporations, state governments and poll workers to ensure the "proper" outcome have the same connotation to you?

Again, ask yourself, what if McGovern had sent in goons to bug the GOP campaign offices?  Ask yourself, what if Gore was president when 9/11 happened?  What if Carter had gotten the GDR to tear down the Berlin wall?

Wait, what's the point of this exercise again?

I was talking in context of the coordination.  There were lots of people shouting.  But not in terms of a field general leading his troops to an attack.  The media latched on a couple loons who nobody was paying attention to, to say see, it was an organized attack.

The point is if you feel differently when it's a guy you don't like winning, then the problem is you. If you feel that this is still a shady thing even if "your guy" benefited, then you can see the real issue here.

And those many people feel that way because they were lied to by Trump.  But not sure what that has to do with my point.  And no..we don't have that many accounts of what you are claiming either.

But you are making a hypothetical that doesn't exist even in the opposite.  Biden didn't collude with anyone.  State governments didn't collude with anyone.  Poll workers were not colluding with anyone.

And you are using "proper" as in proper = Biden.  That isn't what the article is about.  Proper...means the person who actually won...really won.  That all votes are properly counted.  You read into it what you wanted to see...but its not what is actually being said.

"Their work touched every aspect of the election. They got states to change voting systems and laws and helped secure hundreds of millions in public and private funding. They fended off voter-suppression lawsuits, recruited armies of poll workers and got millions of people to vote by mail for the first time. They successfully pressured social media companies to take a harder line against disinformation and used data-driven strategies to fight viral smears. They executed national public-awareness campaigns that helped Americans understand how the vote count would unfold over days or weeks, preventing Trump’s conspiracy theories and false claims of victory from getting more traction. After Election Day, they monitored every pressure point to ensure that Trump could not overturn the result. "

Sure they didn't.

And again, many people from all walks of life, not just Trump supporters came out and reported what they saw as shady practices at voting places. But none of those things happened of course. It was all just Trump making it up. Ends justify the means and all.

Im again unsure how anyone can read that...and not see the point was to ensure of the correct outcome.  Correct being...people allowed to vote, people's votes being counted...misinformation not affecting the election.

Yet somehow complain that ensuring those things is bad...

Many people saying...come on man...the Trump lines don't work in reality.  No...many people were not really saying there were shady practices. Better yet...secure election (most secure in history)...no widespread fraud...state officials baffled...

But yeah...many people are saying ...

The same people who the last four years were screaming that Trump was a dictator and colluding and changing things to favor himself are now suddenly on board with  Big tech and Democratic operatives colluding and changing things to favor Democrats.

I mean, this would be funny if it wasn't so damn scary.  The hypocrisy on this issue is absolutely stunning.  When America slides into far left authoritarianism we can point to this moment and say this is why.

Its fun when you not only overgeneralize...but do it by falsely generalizing what was done the last 4 years...and falsely claiming what happened here.

What was done...was to favor an accurate outcome.  To proclaim that is bad...that is for the democrats is just ridiculous.

There is zero hypocrisy in this...there is zero authoritarian belief in this.  Just an all out illogical assertion being made.

Yeah, Insein is basically putting you over his knee and spanking you. There was obviously a coordinated effort to ensure that certain results held, and if not, that certain radical protestor repercussions would happen. That's explicitly stated in the article, and I don't know how you get around that.

Sometimes the truth is hard to bear for some people. So they just ignore it and pretend a different reality happened. Like there was no collusion going on at all. And if there was, it was just Trump.

There was an effort to ensure that actual results held.  Any protest would have been based on efforts to deligitimize actual results.  That is what is explicitly stated.

I just read the article.  I honestly thought it was going to be about some shadowy group of people that were trying to influence everyone to vote against Trump.  I have to say I'm disappointed at Trumper's that point to this as some sort of evidence.

The whole article was about making sure this was a fair election.  And by the actions that Trump took after the election, I would say thank goodness for these people.
