I thought it was worthy of a flagrant 1.

Refs thinking back to the Boston series, perhaps.

Nikola, and of course Noah, have gotten snippy tonight too with their actions.

right or wrong if you get a fflagrant two you are probably missing the next game so i guess we willl see if they change it now after the game brohans

I see why Bulls fans hate Thib. I understand Noah has to be out there right now. Gibson is ejected and Gasol is out, but your offense should never run through him and definitely not in the last minute of any game, not matter what the score is.

Max have a couple extra drinks tonight. The Bulls should have won this series in 5 or 6 games with the amount of injuries the Cavs have right now.

He got the majority, if not all, of the important inbounds passes down the stretch. TT was playing him tight too...surprised by that.

Break up the Bulls. If they can't beat the Cavs this year...it isn't going to happen.

The Rockets took 20 seconds to get Jordan to the free throw line. Weak.

watching the reruns of the taj kick delavadova started it but you still do not kick at someone and the other thing is that i am surprised they did not get brooks for flying in and making that hit bromigos

You can't try to kick guys.

Dellavedova should have been called for a foul also, of course.
There is kicking a guy, and there is kicking a guy off of you that is squeezing you with his legs. Very different.

He didn't kick the guy. The guy was stuck on his leg and he kicked his leg in order to shake the guy off of him. Huge difference.

He was an idiot because he should have brought it to the refs attention and should have walked away right after.

The refs screwed that up. It should have been a double foul at worst. Instead they called a flagrant two and ejected a guy. That's a BS call.

Anyone else watch the Houston/LA game to the (almost) end? I turned it off when Jordan was intentionally fouled while attempting a three pointer and only got two shots. This rule and implementation is rediculous. Question on that later.

Here's the situation for Jordan's shot; he gets the ball at the top of the circle. They didn't show a replay of his feet, but he appears to be outside the arc. Once he receives the ball, his defender sprint towards him, obviously going to foul. Jordan notices this and starts a shooting motion clearly before he is touched. He only gets two shots. Why?

Second question, as the debate has gone on here if the rule should be changed or not. I'm not an NBA guy, so I don't know the history of the rule. When I see rule differences between the NBA, and all other levels, I assume the NBA changed, but maybe I'm wrong. Does anyone know when, or who changed first? Why do youth, HS, and college award free throws and possession for intentional fouls, but the NBA only gets free throws? I assume they were the same at some point and someone changed?

Didn't see the play in question but it should have been 3 shots if he was indeed in the shooting motion. Refs rarely call it, though Ginobli did get 3 shots for a 3/4 court attempt last week.

It is two shots and the ball in the NBA during the last 2 minutes. Not sure when the rule change was.

The Pels were very deflated. Any objective opinions out there on what the Pels need to improve for next year? It seems to me they need a serious point guard. They have a lot of money invested in decent to good guards with a lot of injury history. They also need a better center. Basically Davis dragged them into the playoffs, it was yeoman duty, he was spectacular, a couple more years like this and he will get aggravated and leave just like Paul.
If the rumors of a Thibs-Bulls divorce are true, start there.
That could be very interesting. The team needs a young point guard to make the next step and Tibs can develop point guards.

I follow the Bulls closer than any other sports team, but I have no idea what will happen with Thibs. We obviously know that there's friction although that's nothing new and he's managed to stay this far. The players still seem to respect him and he's done an admirable job considering the injuries. However, the dislike goes both ways and he may ask to leave even if the front office wants him to stay.

I'm sure a long playoff run would help things, but what happens if they lose in 5 or 6 to the Cavs as expected?
I know the national media is quick to jump to conclusions sometimes but everyone seems to think Thibs leaving is a foregone conclusion.
Yes, I guess that's my point. The assumption is because there is a strained relationship, he'll be gone. I'm not so sure but I won't be surprised either way.
I hope the reports are erroneous, because anyone the Bulls could bring in would be a downgrade.
I know you guys are in playoff fever, but any new thoughts with the Pels canning Monty? Is Thibs a likely target and will he be available?

The Pels (then Hornets) were chasing him when he signed with the Bulls, they wanted him. (Totally irrelevant but people down here would love that name too).

Delly was flat on his belly (you know, after Taj forearmed him on the screen and then trucked him going for the rebound) and squeezed his legs together for a second. He lets go as Taj pulls his leg out then Taj clearly kicks at him (weakly connecting with Delly's foot). Definitely a flagrant 1 on Taj for any of the 3 actions on the play. Don't see how a little leg squeeze is tech worthy for Delly. Taj should not be suspended.

Taj was correctly ejected, but Delly should have been dinged with something too.

Not sure if you're a Bulls fan or not, but him getting the boot was a good thing...almost came back without him.

Like some other Bulls fans, I've been mystified by some of Thibs coaching decisions in the playoffs. Of course, I'm just an observer and I've been inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Now starting to wonder if a maybe a fresh start would be best for everyone.

After five years of hearing Thibs scream the same stuff over and over, the Bulls players might be tuning him out a bit.

For the Pelicans, it would be the right move to bring him in. A young, rising team with a Top-5 building block, it could really benefit from the intensity and defense that are Tom's strong suits.

We'll never know, but I also think the actions before the kick had something to do with the ejection. Not sure if that's proper use of the review system though. And, yes, it was a kick.

If you like Anthony Davis at all you better hope Thibs doesn't go there. Davis always seems to get dinged up, but Thibs would be running him out there for about 47.5 minutes a night on average and probably run him out of the league due to injuries in about 5 years.

Per @BleacherReport, Charles Barkley, EJ, Jet and Shaq have signed multi-year extensions with NBA on TNT! yay!! TNT would be Shaqtin A Fool not to renew their contracts!

Bulls free throw shooting (20-for-22) is the only reason this is even remotely close.
Well, there's also the fact that the officiating is entirely lopsided. Lebron allowed to pull WWF moves and toss people to the ground without reproach. Or walk around under the basket without getting called for traveling: http://bulls.247sports.com/Bolt/You-make-the-call-Did-LeBron-James-travel-on-this-play-37253658

And then of course the Taj thing.
That's not even close to the number of steps that Dunleavy (think it was him) took on the inbounds pass at midcourt late in the game...

Nba transparency report says they missed a Noah travel before the Butler 3 and an illegal screen by Noah, both in last 1:30
