Smart, young, and 2 firsts next year to reunite boogie and Thomas?
Not nearly enough. And Ainge will lowball anyhow. He is the classic fantasy football owner who overvalues all of his players and undervalues everyone else.
Who does Ainge low-ball? He offered about 75 picks to Charlotte to move up seven spots and was turned down...that offer was more than fair...Green and Rondo were fair deals...not sure of any low-ball rumors that I have heard of locally...

The rumored pre-draft offer of Smart/16/28 for Noel/3 was pretty horrendous.

I never bought into that one...it is so unrealistic...if he did offer that he should have been fined by the NBA...

I looooove this game.

This might be my favorite non-Olympic/World Championship off season in a long time. It's basically just the Tyson Zone. There's almost no NBA story that I wouldn't believe at this point.

i really hope espn fires chris brousard he is a moron and it just drags them down by having him cuban is making him look like the chump he is and what is worse is i think he tries to make it about himself and not the story which i just can not stand take that to the bank

I love how he just completely ignores Cuban's latest response.

@Chris_Broussard how about this. You post any proof I was calling/texting his friends asking anything I give 100k to charity of yr choice.

Mo Williams signs in Cleveland. Good cheap signing by them. Guy has a lot more to offer on the court at this point than the 'veteran leadership' Mike Miller. Perhaps they now ship Delly off somewhere like Toronto where he'd become an immediate starter for them and the 2016 East All Stars.

Regarding my Wednesday report: I should have attempted to contact Mark Cuban before reporting what my sources were telling me. I always try to carry myself with honesty and integrity both personally and professionally. I recognize that I tweeted hastily, I’m sorry for it, and I will learn from my mistake.

Dellavedoveintohisknee would be a lock for All-NBA in Toronto.

Cuban made Skippy look like a chump, and he still works at ESPN.

We can only dream. Delly + Scola = Dynasty.

And if not you just trade them for A. Davis.

JJ Redick on the Zach Lowe podcast today. Redick was great in his last appearance, when he didn't have anything in particular to discuss. This one should be interesting.

Deron Williams bought out by the Nets. Likely heading to Dallas.
Between this and Jordan going back to the Clippers the Celtics have had a nice few days without making a move...hopefully Joe Johnson is next...

It's like a non-apology apology.

Reddick interview was great. Really interesting to hear his explanation for why DJ didn't owe Cuban a call.
I don't buy it. Reddick is just covering for his teammate. Using his own free agency as an example, it doesn't seem like he ever gave Flip a true agreement if I understood it correctly. More like he had two options and once he decided to stick with the Clippers he had his agent tell Flip the decision.

That's waaaaay different than what DeAndre did. I don't hate on DJ for changing his mind, but at least be a man and tell the other party you changed your mind.

Man, the Lakers announcers on this broadcast are terrible. "If Tyus Jones makes the team"? Yeah, I'm sure they traded 3 2nd-round picks to acquire a guy, sign him to a guaranteed contract, and then cut him before the start of the season. They also had a "projected depth chart" earlier that featured Zach Lavine as the backup PG (he's a 2), Lorenzo Brown as a SG (he's a pass first PG with crappy shooting touch), and Adreian Payne as the starting PF over Kevin Garnett and Nemanja Bjelica.

I would have personally gone the agent route as well. What the hell are you paying him for? You know Cuban was going to lay it on thick. No reason for DJ to have to go through that when you're paying someone to be in the middle of all of this.

Swap Knicks/Pistons with Magic/Celtics and it would be correct.
And move Wiz and Raps about a quarter mile below the top four.
Now that Amare signed with the Heat, we need Cavs/Heat per Todem.

I also think swap out the Knicks and Pacers for Magic/Celtics. I like what the Pistons are doing and think they get the 8th seed and get smoked by the Heat/Cavs.

They're much closer to the group they're in than to the one below.
I get that the Sixers aren't going to be winning a championship this year, but really think they are that horrible and only 2nd from the bottom? You are telling me a front court mix of Noel, Okafor and Embiid will not be better than 50-60% of the big men on other teams? I don't know how high you can move them up, but they won't be the 2nd worst team in the East this year if Embiid is healthy enough to play a significant number of games

Definitely bumping down the Hawks after losing Carroll and only gaining Splitter.

Gotta love what the Wolves are doing. Lavine was the best player on the court tonight.Scary that he may be their 3rd best player in the very near future.

I took that as groupings, not rankings. The teams in the groups could finish in any order. But yeah, I think they'll be bottom 2-3. I could be wrong, but isn't Embiid missing most or all of the season? Either way, they have zero everywhere else. No depth, no scoring.

You're forgetting that these boys are now playing against men who've been in the league for a long time. Rarely do young bigs come in and make a significant impact in their rookie year, let alone carry a team full of D leaguers and salary dumps. They'll put up some nice counting stats but it won't translate to many wins. I would guess that Vegas puts their win total O/U at about 24.5.

I thought it was generous not to rank them last. They have by far the worst perimeter players in the league. Even if all the bigs are healthy and play beyond their years they'd be a long way from good.
