Titus Young is a nice sleeper on a potent offense (1 Viewer)

I'm not saying that Young is going to come out of the gates wk 1 and light it up, but this kid has impact sleeper written all over him.

I am fully expecting the Lions to be the biggest story of the early season. As long as Matthew Stafford is healthy I don't see how Detroit doesn't become one of the most potent offenses in the NFL. With that in mind it makes sense to me that Titus Young (2nd rnd pick) who is already the third option at wr will have an impact at some point this season.

You heard it here first.

Almost like the Saints though, too many targets. Detroit will have 2 RB, 2 TE, and 3 WR all fighting for targets. I hope Young produces, but as a rookie and and probably 4th or 5th on te food chain, I would not count on startable numbers. He will have some big games though.

I agree with what you are saying, but if Stafford is healty I think he is going to use the wr's more this year in a vertical passing game than Hill did last year. Hill checked down a ton to the te's this season. I don't see that happening a lot this year. If I am correct that should give the wr's more looks...On the other hand if Best is healthy it is likely that he checks down to him a lot...Only time will tell, but I think that Young is a solid player by mid year.

Any WR on the same field as Calvin Johnson is going to be no better than a borderline WR2-3. That offense just doesn't support more than 1 WR putting up big stats on a weekly basis. Of course it could all change if Stafford proves he can handle the workload, but until that happens...
