*** TNF on Prime Video - Broncos at Chiefs (-10.5, 47) *** (1 Viewer)

Temps look good for tonight. About 75 degrees at kickoff. Supposed to be dry, but very windy. 17 - 20 mph.

Wind doesn't really affect much in Arrowhead usually.

Patrick hasn't had one of those "here let me carry your fantasy team" weeks yet.
I think that ends tonight...

Patrick and the Chiefs- 44
Russell and the Broncs- 16

Figures to be a massive Pacheco day
Most folks know that all Denver skill players/positions right now are a gamble or roll of the dice and nothing you research and figure out is going to change much of that
KC passing game, Mahomes, Kelce and....
The only real player from KC at RB or WR that you feel comfortable with right now is Pacheco

What we haven't seen and what I hope we see this evening is consistency.
I want Pacheco to be a reliable player for FF
Is he really an RB1 or can he be a consistent RB2? I've had him pegged as an RB3/Flex of late but he's certainly moved ahead of many RBs selected ahead of him in Redrafts

I was going to go thru an entire thread on this but I'll keep it here as it's relevant

-Let's say you have Hurts and Russel Wilson as your starting QB and back up QB in redraft
-And let's say you play Hurts this weekend and just sit Wilson tonight, seems like the obvious choice.

Now let's say Jalen Hurts for whatever reason injures himself to the point he might not take the field on Sunday,
Not likely but we've seen this happen with other players at other positions
Once Wilson or any other Denver/KC fringe skill player you have on your roster and you decide not to play them, they are frozen with you thru the weekend
You cannot cut Wilson on Sat even though you didn't play him

So be careful tonight of carrying too many player on a TNF game that could pigeonhole you prior to the weekend and any new injuries you didn't see coming.
Jaelan Phillips of the Miami Dolphins injured himself I believe just walking around the Miami Dolphins facilities, think he has missed a couple games now due to it.
I'm just saying, be aware of what you are doing tonight

The Chiefs have looked like crap this year other than the defense.

This game will be close. I can feel it.

ISIAH PACHECO

-I am alerting you because I discovered I had him in my Flex spot because when I drafted him, he was likely an RB3/4/Flex type and I just slotted him there when I started him
Fast Forward to Week 6, IMHO he should be 1 of your 2 starting RBs and of course there are exceptions.

-Why do I bring this up? Because we've all seen magic injuries pop up Fri/Sat/Sun morning even and it's OOPS! Suddenly you have a hole on your starting roster.
If I put Pacheco as an RB3 to slide into my Flex, let's say Breece Hall pops up as Questionable and then Adam gets on TV on Sunday Morning and tells us the bad news that Hall is going to split carries, now I might want to slide Hall back to my bench...BUT I can't because he was slotted as my RB2 and Iccanot flip Pacheco from the Flex into the RB2 slot and then use the Flex on say a WR or any other player.

My golden rule on TNF is DO NOT start a guy in your flex spot and have him locked thru the weekend.
Again, sometimes you won't be able to avoid it

-And another thing, if you are not going to play someone tonight but they sit on your bench like perhaps Skyy Moore,
Do you really want him to take up one of 2-3 bench spots you have for WRs? He's rostered as well as Kadarius Toney in quite a few leagues
i would just double check your rosters because you cannot release these guys after the TNF game in any league i am associated with

Back up QB: I have Russell Wilson backing up Jalen Hurts and I play Hurts every week rain or shine so far. Wilson is actually top 10 right now
But what if Hurts for whatever reason cannot take the field Sunday? I'm probably not going to just cut Wilson tonight but I am putting myself in potential harm's way.
It's like insurance, you don't need it until you need it

Good Luck with this, I hope I am making this clear and I bet a lot of you already follow this rule, it's not the first time I've posted it around here.
Cheers!

Potential storms in Kansas City, Missouri, could affect the Broncos-Chiefs matchup Thursday night.
9NEWS meteorologist Chris Bianchi said wind will be whipping up to 40 mph nearly all game long, with temperatures hovering around the low-to-mid 70s.
There's a chance for storms after about 8 p.m. in Kansas City, which could lead to disruptions in gameplay for the second half. If they do see storms, they could be strong ones.

Let's see if my crystal ball is working:

Denver will play a little loose because literally nobody is giving them a chance. I think that resolve comes easier when you're feeling embarrassed. It's different than being scared.

If KC tried to just run more than usual, Denver will stuff the box.

Denver is going to be throwing haymakers on O. What is there to loose and in the wind, maybe it's a good time to say, screw it.

Could of course be a blowout but I'm going with a close game.

Just checked my weather app and it shows no rain until midnight

Eta: winds variable at 11-16 miles per hour

Unless you play in a yahoo league which allows you to drop bench players whether they’ve played or not.

Which is the case for many because I believe it’s the default setting.

Smh, thought they'd back off the Swift crap after the backlash from last time.

Guess that would be asking too much. NFL has no shame.

From Rotowire:

Partly cloudy skies and comfortable temperatures are expected for Thursday night's game at Arrowhead Stadium. A chance of rain is possible. Strong, gusty winds blowing diagonally across the field will make passing and kicking difficult.

I've had an not nice season so far - in Dynasty, redraft, and best ball. To see Rashee Rice show signs tonight as an emerging dynasty asset would be nice.

Confused by this. Every league I have is on MFL, and lineups requirements say things like 2-3 RB, 3-4 WR. No specific player is designated as the "flex". Do other league management websites do this differently? WHY?!

I have Dalton Schultz in my hip pocket. I'm good.

I was going to grab Jeudy in a Yahoo I'm in and stick him on my bench, if he hits awesome, if he bombs again I can just release him back into the pool, do i understand you correctly?

Problem was we only have 15 man rosters and when you subtract out starters, bottom line short benches and just cannot cut anyone I have a good problem I might add.

But I want to make sure I understand what you're saying, good info.

Most of mine reside on RTS, I bet you play Dynasty in many of these
I'm strictly redraft

I'll say:

KC-34
Den-13

I think this is a game where KC experiments around a bit. While I'm not saying Kelce and Pacheco don't get theirs, I could see CEH, Toney, Moore, and Rice all getting more run than usual.

Yes. In my yahoo league I play in… this is allowed.

It does allow you to churn through lotto tickets over the weekend.

My other yahoo leagues does not allow it, and is stated in our rules. Not sure what the settings are as I haven’t tried to cheat the rules.

Charlie Brown (me) and Lucy holding the football scenario but "IF" Toney is fully healthy now can we try and have a coming out party tonight. I guy can hope....

Be silly not to go for this.

This feels like where Dulcich could maybe make his hay.

ETA: Or whatever that crap was. Maybe they should have saved the timeout, took the penalty, and punted?
