There are quite a few O’s I like this week.Over in the first half. Wow
That's fair, but Tomlin should get a lot of credit for the defense being as good as it was. That’s fine. It’s hard to compare defenses across different eras. Let’s leave it at one of the greatest defenses of all time?Top-3 defense in history of the NFL is really pushing it. Not sure it was a top-3 defense just in Steelers history. It’s not on Tomlin tonight but we have seen this outcome so often. Does anyone really think Tomlin is capable of winning another superbowl? It took a top 3 defense in the history of the NFL and even that one was almost lost.I’m trying to be positive, I don’t think it’s on Tomlin like so many of you do. But…this is so depressing,
Maybe Hines Ward will be back in the 4th quarter.Antonio Brown the only thing keeping Pittsburgh in the game but Brady, Moss & Gronk appear to be too much for them
Total tangent, but the defense that won the SB against Seattle will never get the credit they deserve because of the supposed bad calls in the SB.That’s fine. I think Buffalo is scary for everyone in the AFC. I'd honestly rather play any of the AFC South or West (including KC) teams than Buffalo.Pittsburgh 7-5
Cleveland 7-5
Indy 7-5
Houston 7-5
Denver 6-6
Cincin 6-6
Buffalo 6-6

Tomlin inherited the only roster he's ever been successful with. It was built under Cowher. The team won the Super Bowl 2 years before Tomlin took over and only finished 8-8 the year before because of Ben's motorcycle accident. Tomlin had success with that team for a few years and the last 13 years have been nothing but underachieving and progressively getting worse and worse. The Steelers have won a single playoff game in only 2 of the seasons since 2010.That's fair, but Tomlin should get a lot of credit for the defense being as good as it was. That’s fine. LOL, they censored a real first name
C'Mon, they do have 112 yards of offense tonightOnly the second time NE has scored more that 20 points this season.
Tomlin is awesome!
Shredded by Bailey freaking Zappe. Let that sink in people. And they lost To Dorian Something something, Cleveland's QB. Don't even know his nameOnly the second time NE has scored more that 20 points this season.
Tomlin is awesome!
Not comparing the quality of the two coaches, just the situations. He doesn't have a HOF QB or great defense right now, so I'm not sure he'd suffer from a change in scenary. He’s not at all on the same level as Reid. He inherited a hall of fame QB and one of the greatest defenses ever. Since that superbowl loss to GB, he’s been outcoached in every single playoff game. I’m not saying he’s awful but despite his overall record, I would not categorize him anywhere near “great”.Feels very Andy Reid/Philly. Great coach, but maybe his time is just up there and both sides would benefit from fresh starts elsewhere.I've soured on Tomlin. Great quotes and interviews. Not good enough on Sundays. They have won only 3 playoff games in ~10 years or whatever. The word "stale" comes to mind. You bag on Tomlin every week. Do you want to see him gone? Really? You think the team will be better with another coach? And this is how bad the Steeler defense REALLY is. Pats haven't scored 14 points in a game since Woodstock. I thought Tomlin was a defensive mind??
2 takeaways so far:
1. There’s a commercial for a medication to prevent hot flashes, and one of the side-effects of that medication is (check notes) hot flashes.
2. Kurt Warner describes responsible gambling as
• not betting more than you can afford. Ok, I’m with ya there.
• never chase your losses
So if you lose, never make a bet again? Have you met gamblers, Kurt?

I can’t recall - was Reid fired by Lurie or did he “retire “? Because no matter what anyone thinks about Tomlin, the Rooneys don’t fire coaches (especially ones with the class and success of Tomlin). But yes I believe it is time for a change (for both parties). Not comparing the quality of the two coaches, just the situations. Andy was stuck after a few years of playoff disappointing losses, then went 8-8, then 4-12, and it was just.... time. Both sides had great success after the split up, and I could see Pitt and Tomlin both benefiting from a fresh start maybe. But I don't know.

I'm gonna throw it out there, that Pickens also just might not be all that good. Like he's good at the contested acrobatic stuff, but he also doesn't really separate.Trubisky Ain't pickin' Pickens

I'm a little concerned Pickens is another Gabe Davis, where he'll pop off with a nice game here and there, but always leave us wanting more.
The Steelers came out like it was a training camp scrimmageTomlin called this redemption week before the game? Way to pump up a 2-10 team with Belichick as the frigging coach.
