TO Crying (1 Viewer)

After a season in which tears shed for a slain teamate lasted far too long, this crying game comes off as contrived and weak.

My honest opinion was those were real tears but they didn't come from where he was saying it came from.

He was obviously upset....I think for himself and used that honest emotion and put it behind his Romo comments. He was upset they were going home,He obviously thought they would win and was a beat man after the game but you are silly if you think he was really crying over them picking on Romo.

Just my $0.02

I think it's silly to think that he was crying over one thing. It was the whole season come to an end in a stunning defeat. Sure he teared up at the Romo bit, and I am sure that was a big part of it. But you don't compartmentalize your emotions half an hour after your season ended and cry at this subject and not at that one. No I don't think he was crying only becuase people are going to pick on Romo, but that's one of the reasons most definitely. And regardless of whether people think it was real or not, it's important to realize that he is at least taking steps to be ateam player and not only didn't blame anyone else, but defended a guy who played pretty well and is going to take massive #### the entire offseason for a nothing story about a vacation. Even if you don't believe TO, it's at least a step in the right direction. And for the record, I hate TO and think he deserves all the crap he's taking just because of his past. The only thing I fault TO for in that interview is his BS line about never blaming his other QBs. I think it was genuine tears, but not just for Romo, for the end of a dream season where the Cowboys and TO set records and fell short of the real goal. It's a positive step for him when we are used to him taking backwards steps every time he opens his mouth. I still don't like him, but I feel he's turning into a better teammate. Of course, it would only take one stupid interview for him to blow that.

TO is like a wife. If you treat a wife bad, don't pay enough attention to her, and don't take care of your own business, she'll leave you saying nasty things on the way out. You treat her well, pay enough attention to her, and take care of your own business, she'll stick by your side 'til the end of time. And probably get a little emotional along the way. Whole lotta bitter exes in here who can't handle another guy treating their ex right and reaping the benefits.
Heis an A+ wife....you treat him right..you will get very nice returns..

He was emotional. Who cares? :lmao:
 I am not a big TO fan, but I really don't see a problem with him getting emotional about a big loss. At least he wasn't acting like a jerk and blaming everyone else like he usually does.
:thumbup:lots of folks in this thread that would bash TO regardless of what he did. I would say this is much better than how he has acted in the past.

Owens to me seems to have turned a page on how to handle his emotions. He still is an emotional player. Before the whole debacle in SF, he was a real quiet, humble guy. Steve Young said that he would thank him to no end for just throwing him one ball. He cried after he caught that pass against GB in the playoffs, although after dropping key passes before. Where he turned was when the 49ers didn't have any real leadership, from the FO on down. He turned after Rice left. Owens needed strong leadership back then, and I think he has it under Jones. When he didn't have it, he screwed up. I can't say much on Philly, since I didn't care after he left SF. He was Philly's problem. I just remember when he bad mouthed the team after he left, so I could care less if a train ran over his whiney #### after that. I think he has learned something, and if it's finding out that football is a team sport, then it's too late for people to forgive him for his past abhorrent behaviour. He is over 30, and he is just finding out how to act like a teammate. I don't see why anybody should give him credit for that.

Was I the only one who thought those were forced tears??

I don’t hate T.O or nothing like that (quite the opposite actually), but it just seemed like the crying was forced, and no actual tears ever came down his face.

Just saying...
Finally a reason not to be sarcastic. This is dead on.
See post Post #67.

:scratchingmyhead:All you had to do is move that slidey thingy on the right of your browser window (computer screen) up a little, but if it makes you feel better... here ya go.

Not sure how to feel about this. TO gets knocked if he attacks his QB, and he gets knocked when he gets emotional defending him.Sure, seeing him cry is weird, but it's tough to lose a playoff game. Plus, TO is kind of unstable, with his "non" suicide attempt, etc. I don't think it shows a lack of class to defend your teammate. TO is just a weird guy.
TO cried when he won a playoff game (SF/GB).Is this news?

For those of you sticking up for TO, dont you think this little display was just a little disengenuous? The guy traditionally kills his QB's (called/insinuated that Garcia was gay and we all know about the McNabb battle) but then wants to tell you that he has "always had his QB's back". Who is he kidding? He's full of crap.
