tomlinson (1 Viewer)

As a bengal fan, brace yourself. You might want to pray before you play LT2. Our run defense is atrocious. I expect 100 yds rushing at least with a good chance at 2 tds and like 50 receiving yds. I'm scared, and I'm not playing against him. We need a win this week badly.

Must be an attempt at a keerock, so I'll counter-kee with this:

After so much work the last two weeks, I think LT will have a down week.

actually he averaged 24.5 touches over those two games which is one/game below his career avg. ;)

I think there's a very good chance the Bengals manage to hold him to about 75 yards and a single TD.

(We're talking about his passing numbers, right?)

agreed. He only had 18 rushes last week. However I still don't look for his numbers to be where they have been the past couple of weeks. I love Tomlinson, but I don't expect 150+ yds and 3 TDs every single week....

LT is gonna have to try hard to not rush for 120/2TDs this week.
First off i love your avatar but most importantly i love LT. LT and LJ alone should carry teams into the FFPlayoffs. I'm expecting what LT to have 100+ yds and at least 1-2 TDs with the probability of more playing against a weaker defense. Go LT !

LT is unstoppable. Best RB in the game, bar none.

What else?

You can't expect it each week but it wouldn't surprise me in the least if he run up and down the field on Cincy.

Your being a little optimistic perhaps but thats possible.Main question for me is if the Bengals can keep up enough score wise so that LT keeps playing or if the Chargers can shut the Bengal passing game so that Turner becomes a factor in the 4th quarter or not.I think the Bengals can. The Chargers pass rush is hurting and Palmer is still good when he is comfortable. So I expect a huge day from LT and not that much action from Turner.

7 carries, 362 yards, 27 touchdowns
First half stats?
What about his passing yards and TDs?
One could always hope for this, and have his usual 1 pass for 15 yards and a TD as well.Seriously though, if half of that did happened (almost 200 yards and 7 TDs--because he only touched it 7 time), I would probably wet myself. :o

I wouldn't be surprised either.....Tomlinson does have the tendancy to spoil his owners. I've got a big game this week, so I could use another 3 or 4 TD performance... but let's not jinx him. :D

The good play would be to play "the burner" also.
:lmao: just like the past 4 weeks??
hmmmmmmmm. Interesting. You think Turner will not get at least #3 RB numbers this week.Do you think if the game is out of reach in the second half the Chargers will continue to feed the ball to LT to run the clock out? It is getting late in the year and the Chargers offweek was week 3 therefore I think that MT has a fair chance to put up some decent numbers as a #3 RB if the game is out of reach.

The #'s don't back up that ascertion (and I don't think there will be garbage time playing at Cincy). Looking at the numbers I don't think Turner's involvement is based on the scoreboard but rather it's based on the # of touches LT gets. It seems as if the Chargers are trying to keep LT to a max of 28 touch's/game. In the 1st 3 weeks LT had 34, 26 and 28 touches and Turner had 10, 15, and 7 touches. The game against Pitt where LT was totally bottled up was the only game this year that Turner got a significant # touches (11) and LT did not get at least 26 (he had 21). Since that game LT's touch's/game have been 28, 21, 28, 21 and Turners have been 1, 4, 5, 2. Some of those games were close some were total blowouts. The SF game LT was still in the there leading 41-19 with 4 minutes in the 4th and Turner had 1 touch in that game. So I think for Turner to be a possible play you have to hope that LT gets 26+ touch's and after that point Turner may start to get the ball (except for the times LT comes out for a breather). Pretty big risk.

:goodposting: That is key.Another thing is, I don't see this game as a run away Charger win - I am actually expecting a close Bengal win. In that case LaDainian is going to be called on for the whole game, I don't think anyone need be concerned with him getting sat due to a blow out in the Chargers' favor. The forecast for the game as of right now (from weather channel): 53 degrees and morning showers
