Might be a good time to trade a QB to the Romo owner in your league if they are desperate. Then in 4 weeks you'll have a fully healthy Romo for the stretch run.

That's exactly what I thought when I heard the news.Nobody should ever be allowed to compare Romo or his game to Favre's ever, ever again.FavreCo said:Broken pinky? So what. Tape it up and get out there. What a sissy.
I'm interested in Romo's value now that he'll miss 4 weeks. I'd like to try to snag him as his owner in my league doesn't have a backup on his roster (we carry very small benches). Would the pool agree that Romo would still warrant a Roethlisberger or a Rivers type (although Rivers's value should have jumped after last night). What level of QB would it take to pry Romo away from a desperate owner?
So, assuming you have 2 decent QB options on your roster what would it take to pry Romo? A Rivers/Rodgers type or something less like a Shaub or Eli? Again, your gonna miss 4 - 5 weeks of production with Romo.Might be a good time to trade a QB to the Romo owner in your league if they are desperate. If you have 2 decent QBs, I'd rather trade/package one to get a good WR from the Romo owner. So, assuming you have 2 decent QB options on your roster what would it take to pry Romo? this is ignorance. if a QB cant throw the ball accurately do to a broken finger, then he is no good to your team. BJ is a crafty veteran. he may or may not work out for the team. but you gotta go with what gives you the best chance to win. there is no "being a sissy"That's exactly what I thought when I heard the news.Nobody should ever be allowed to compare Romo or his game to Favre's ever, ever again.FavreCo said:Broken pinky? they used to do more the quick passing stuff with Romo. again the playcalling, poor pass protection, Romo forcing throws/not protecting the ball have all brought us to now.Game plan has to change... No more Romo rollout and wait 5 seconds for guys to get open deep. If Garret changes the calls and does what Aikman used to do. 3 second quick passes. If they do that slants to Owens, Witten, etc. Brad Johnson could be effective.
...and Barber can expect to see eight in the box in heavy dosesKellysHeroes said:very bad news for all Dallas O players.... expect a heavy dose of Barber to come
I'm thinking--hoping--that Witten is the play here.KellysHeroes said:very bad news for all Dallas O players.... expect a heavy dose of Barber to come
estimated by ESPN to be 4 weeks.Out 4 weeks? That means he'll miss the Giants game but be back for the Redskin game in Washington.
Favre could get his hand chopped off on a Wed and throw 3 TDs with the bloody stump the following Sunday. Romo is most often compared to Favre. That needs to stop.this is ignorance. if a QB cant throw the ball accurately do to a broken finger, then he is no good to your team. And with a rod inserted in his finger poking out.Bledsoe played with a broken pinkie. Just sayin.
And we all saw how good that turned out.Bledsoe played with a broken pinkie. Just sayin.
Then I'd expect Barber's receptions to increase. They'll use him like they did last week in the passing game. Either way I still think this will not significantly effect Barber....and Barber can expect to see eight in the box in heavy dosesvery bad news for all Dallas O players.... expect a heavy dose of Barber to come
Speaking of Favre. He called Romo about this injury today and is suggesting a specially designed splint that Favre had used when he had that broken thumb some years ago. He told Romo that if he can withstand the pain, it works. No real confirmation yet, but I wouldn't count out Romo for 4 weeks just yet. There are things at work. Proceed with caution.Romo reminds me of Favre. Gunslinger!
Thats what Im thinking. Complete speculation of course, but I wouldnt be surprused if he made it back in time for the Giants game.Speaking of Favre. He called Romo about this injury today and is suggesting a specially designed splint that Favre had used when he had that broken thumb some years ago.
