It's blinding because there's so much wasted space.
Yeah but like was mentioned earlier there is a lot more of it now.Actually, that's not a change for me. The old site was blazing white for me too.
What was the one step forward?imjackdupp said:Anybody try out the search function yet? I typed in Forte and got 3 results none of which were the main Forte thread and when I searched by thread title 0 results.
I'd say its as good as ever. Oh and I like that I can't preview a post before I submit. 1 step forward 3 steps back.

I have helped manage quite a few too.
All I can tell you is that most any board worth a damn has the ability to change skins, and each user can use one that he likes or at least one he considers "manageable". Normally a few clicks and attempts and resetting it, then having a look at a few is all it takes to find one that is more pleasing to that particular user.
I will admit that I haven't tried tinkering with this one much, but offhand I don't see a way we can customize this look at all.
Is this board one of the very few that won't allow that???
Or have the founders here simply locked that option, forcing us to use this one...?
Not that it matters, but I would like to know the answer to this.

At least pages are updating again without exiting the browser and reopening to FBGs. So I'll take that win. What was the one step forward?
Where are signatures? How will I know who's on everyone's roster and how many championships they've won now?

If you click on the dot (or star for posts you replied in) it should take you to the first unread post. If you click on the title it probably takes you to the start of the thread, same as it does on desktop. Invision is probably trying to make both mobile and desktop look and act the same, like most other software developers these days.On my phone whenever i click a topic it takes me to the beginning of the thread. It sucks searching for the post I read last.
People put their team in their sig because they are mainly here to improve and talk about their team. So when they post asking for advice/help. The relevant info is right there, handy.JohnnyU said:I agree with this. I've always thought it was stupid to see team rosters in a signature. I do like to put the leagues I've won from the previous season in my signature, but I can do without it because I don't really care.
I would rather see what leagues you won last year than look at your roster knowing you probably need help frequently. Also it isn't d-baggy to proudly display your league championships from the previous year.People put their team in their sig because they are mainly here to improve and talk about their team. People put up championship banners in their sig because they're d-baggy.
See the difference?

This. How do i manage white space; font size, etc?Alex P Keaton said:Used to be easy for me to surf this board on my iPhone. Not anymore. This sucks.
Nice. I was about to break out Danny Ainge joining Bird and McHale. Yours was better. And you, know, from this millenium. Sum#####.Oh! It's a thread about the site's appearance. No, I don't like it.
I thought it was about the Patriot's receiving corp.
Na, nothing changed. Perhaps what changed is the suggestion that it isn't really any different than most other sites. Whenever anyone points out how bright it is, I even see it as bright for a short time even though I know it's not especially bright...power of suggestion.I think something changed.
ETA: seems a lot better
More of the light grey was added to try to break up the white. Not sure where all, but the grey border around each individual post was definitely white before this latest round. The side panels are also grey depending on the size of your browser.Tool said:I think something changed.

You can either control-right click and delete the quote from the menu that will pop up, or when you mouse over the quote box a little square top left for moving it will show up, you can click it and then delete or backspace. Is there any way to un quote something? The new board nicely saves my unsent posts but sometimes I get half way through a quoted reply and realize "I'm kind of being a snarky jerk." So I go to erase the post and just write something about the thread rather than the post I'm quoting. But the quote won't erase. I the thread and come back. Go to reply and the quote comes up again in the reply box. Still can't erase the quote.
Also
if
we
could
fix
the spacing, that would be great.
Ah yes, "dark white."Found out the entire background of each post was also made less bright. It's actually a slight shade of grey now.
In reference to the line spacing I have noticed there isn't a line break between the last line of text and the editing line. Would be nice to have a full line there to make it easier to read. I am not sure of a way to trick it into doing this. You can either control-right click and delete the quote from the menu that will pop up, or when you mouse over the quote box a little square top left for moving it will show up, you can click it and then delete or backspace.
I think I've seen people say that works on one mobile OS but not another. Not positive which was which though. Maybe Apple was the one that didn't work.
