Top 10 Coaches (1 Viewer)

Jeff Fisher is No. 1 on my list. Every year, he seems to get more out of his team than anyone thinks possible.

Belichick

Coughlin

Fisher

Dungy

Shanahan

Fox

Gruden

Holmgren

Reid

Tomlin or Lovie Smith

This is based on their overall resumes, not just this year; hence, why Holmgren is on my list, and why some of the new and up-and-coming coaches are not.

are above the rest right now imo

Mike Smith is very very very impressive in his first year though

Holmgren should not be anywhere near this list, he hasn't been a top 10 coach for years. I know you said recently, but his play calling is just cowardly the last few seasons. If I see one more designed fullback pass to the flat with no blocking on 3rd and long I will go crazy.

Holmgren's record speaks for itself:-159 wins over 17 seasons (an average of 9.3 wins a season)-7 seasons of 10 wins or more-3 Super Bowl appearances, including 1 Super Bowl win-12 playoff appearances in 17 seasons

I had a tough time coming up with ten, but had a much easier time placing the current coaches into one of several categories.

Note: I have not rank-ordered within category, so don't read anything into Fisher being listed ahead of Shanny; or Mangini being ahead of Tomlin

Let me give you a hand with your "undecided" category.Tom Cable should not be coaching football.

Active coaches careers? :shock:Right now?
Does one bad season make one a bad coach? I think not. Holmgren's Seahawks had won four consecutive division titles prior to this season, with one Super Bowl appearance in there.

Current Coaches:

1. Belichick

2. Dungy

3. Coughlin

4. Fischer

5. Shanahan

6. Gruden

7. Holmgren

8. Reid

9. Fox

10. Tomlin
