The players are irrelevant. I was going to do one of those "Can we all agree to stop doing this" but that wouldn't be nearly as much fun...

I would like to add that anyone that can sit and post play by play every so often with some on the spot analysis like when a RB loses yards but was met in the backfield, runs for 15 yards but was untouched until he had 10, that kind of stuff is so valuable even though it doesn't matter in the final box score. Let's make these game threads something we truly want to flip thru to find out what happened. I don't mind when someone is asking innocent questions about the game but crying and moaning as an FF owner of whoever the player, oh please give us a break.

Even the folks watching will post this. I saw him with a chance against Houston to break it outside and he cut it inside. Then Mayock this past week pointed out a wide open hole that he didn't rip thru for possibly a long TD.You could insert any name though and I agree with you.
 
I'll admit I joke around in the game threads and dont stay strictly to posting plays, its part of the fun of watching games with the SP. One thing I think would make the game threads more valuable after Sun/Mon is if people who actually watched the game (not redzone channel) would do a game recap, like fbg does, with thoughts on what they saw that week for particular players. We'd then have fbg and SP recap perspectives to enjoy.

(This is basically said every time an NFC East team loses.)

 
i don't need play by plays. i can get them anywhere. the only reason i visit the game threads are for the BSing commentary on significant plays/events. i like that. that is the thing that i can't find just anywhere.

when wilson throws his 3rd pick, im going to visit that game thread to read all the people complaining about it.

play by plays are pretty useless. anything i am intrested in is posted immediatley on any game tracker page. by the time they are posted here, i already know about them.

It's cool, we're just having fun. The folks that typically do it are not here yet. Their bus doesn't arrive until about 1:15-1:30, 10 minutes into the 1st Q, those folks who come straggling in late from the parking lot. About that time their heads explode if they don't have 100 yds and a TD in hand already. They wanna ask a lot of questions. What good does it really do in that particular moment? It's not like you can bench the guy until next week. But that's why I want to encourage locals who are glued to their team to post as much s they can in these game threads and let us know what is happening. If you search for the Mia-Cin game last week you'll get a flavor for what I think we should be striving for. We had a really good time last week, lot of Phins fans, not so many Bengals fans. I'll be looking for a St Louis Rams fan today to help with the color commentary.

Really? The Game trackers tell you how awful the OLines are blocking or that a RB had a DT dragging him down almost the same time he took a handoff? Game trackers show you that the QB had 2 guys closing fast when he throws the ball short or worse, an interception? I disagree my friend on getting the same at the game tracker but I do agree that watching the :tfp: can be fun.

well, i never wanted to know that kind of stuff mid game. there is just too much going on to worry about that. i learn that info mid week, which is where the fbg sub comes in. im just saying not everyone shares the same opinion as OP
