unless you think he's washed. which is not an outrageous conclusion if you watched the Jets last year. then again, Darnold looks ok these days.
Only a QB2? Last year from weeks 14 to 15 he was the QB6!

I am usually a 3 $3 K guy but like a number of the $4 guys and if you do 2-$4 guys you have a dollar to spend elsewhere

I do that with my defenses (2 x $4) but, after loosing a kicker early last year, I’m sticking with 3 kickers.
That said, in iterations where I find myself with an extra buck, I upgrade one of my kickers to a $4 guy (usually McPherson).

Even washed on the Jets last year he finished in QB15-20 range depending on scoring system. I was completely against drafting him this year but in best ball, on this Steelers team, with their tough but not too tough schedule, he is a mortal lock to finish inside the top 20 again unless he gets hurt. But he is priced as QB29.unless you think he's washed. which is not an outrageous conclusion if you watched the Jets last year. then again, Darnold looks ok these days.

I have made way too many iterations over the QB1+QB2 pairing, far more than any other roster decisions. And I keep going back to AR plus 2 cheap QBs or 1 stud.
I thought Daniel Jones won the camp battle?

All 5 of the next ones were from teams that were between 1-10 in scoring. If Boswell were a RB, he woulda finished RB19.

I was trying to find correlation between overall strength of schedule and top 5 kickers but it was a mix. Boswell/Steelers had one of the toughest schedules but some others in the top 5 were on teams with easier schedules. Like you said, long FGs were key. Might be worth looking at which defenses gave up the most 50 yd FGs which is not a widely available stat.
Bears, Jets, Raiders D gave up the most FGs from any distance last year. And Steelers, Chargers kicked the most long FGs.
Agree. $86 spent on week 14? Fine if your goal was to make it there, but not past.
Jason Sanders just went on IR. I know he's only a kicker, but assumed you didn't know.

i always end up picking guys that i don't have in other leagues that have already been drafted. its a fun emotional hedge.
The closest correlation I can see is simply being a middle of the road scoring offense and a middle of the road yardage offense. Then having a kicker with a decent leg. I know many folks are jumping at the chance to roster Evan McPherson, but give me Chris Boswell for the same price. PIT has attempted more FG's than CIN for the last 4 years, and is the only team to have 40+ attempts in 3 of the last 4 seasons. The only other team with multiple 40+ attempts since 2021 is LV, so don't sleep on Daniel Carlson either for $4. I am loving these $4 options this year!
A guaranteed zippo lighters for the first 6 weeks? Sure, if he was cheaper, but $23 would be most team's WR1 or WR2 in this contest. I think people are underestimating how fast teams get cut. Last year, we started with 11695 teams. By week 7, the field was dwindled down to 3502. If you roster Rice, you are hoping you can last til week 7, when more than 70% of the field has been eliminated.

I am a fan of the 2 QB approach this year. The prices this year lead me to 2 mid-range QB's vs the scarier 3 lower-tier options.
JCM is a $6 must this year. I do think many will treat him as their RB2, which I think may be a mistake. He should return value, but doubt he finishes any higher than RB3 status.
I have to like them, because I have many of the same in my iterations. Coker gaining steam should be on alot of submissions.
I think Kittle's bye is scaring people off. It's perfectly fine, as long as you didn't load up on other week 14 dudes. If his bye were week 5, people would be clicking his button.
