unless you think he's washed. which is not an outrageous conclusion if you watched the Jets last year. then again, Darnold looks ok these days.I have never picked Rodgers in this contest but for $10 with an early bye, that box almost checks itself for QB2.
Only a QB2? Last year from weeks 14 to 15 he was the QB6!I have never picked Rodgers in this contest but for $10 with an early bye, that box almost checks itself for QB2.
I am usually a 3 $3 K guy but like a number of the $4 guys and if you do 2-$4 guys you have a dollar to spend elsewhereOk Here it is. I feel like I need higher priced WRs but $8-$12 WRs are much better options than those prices/options for RBs. So I spent up on RBs and couldn’t on WRs
I should tweak to get 3rd kicker but it’s probably fine.

I do that with my defenses (2 x $4) but, after loosing a kicker early last year, I’m sticking with 3 kickers.I am usually a 3 $3 K guy but like a number of the $4 guys and if you do 2-$4 guys you have a dollar to spend elsewhereOk Here it is. Even washed on the Jets last year he finished in QB15-20 range depending on scoring system. I was completely against drafting him this year but in best ball, on this Steelers team, with their tough but not too tough schedule, he is a mortal lock to finish inside the top 20 again unless he gets hurt. But he is priced as QB29.unless you think he's washed. which is not an outrageous conclusion if you watched the Jets last year. then again, Darnold looks ok these days.I have never picked Rodgers in this contest but for $10 with an early bye, that box almost checks itself for QB2.![]()

I still like that AR too but I will take the one for a $1 savings discount double checkI thought Daniel Jones won the camp battle? And I keep going back to AR![]()
I wish there was a "clear all" option on the entry form, because I love starting from scratch each time. That way it forces me to make sure I still love the players. Here's one I just came up with.
QB - Dak Prescott - DAL/10 - $18
QB - Bryce Young - CAR/14 - $12
Dak is my stud this year. Why, you ask? Because it's an odd numbered year. Go check it out.
RB - Chase Brown - CIN/10 - $26
RB - Omarion Hampton - LAC/12 - $23
RB - Zach Charbonnet - SEA/8 - $17
RB - Tyrone Tracy Jr. - NYG/14 - $16
RB - Jacory Croskey-Merritt - WAS/12 - $6
I kept on trying to skimp at RB because the points per dollar compared to WR's and TE's was worse, but just said screw it!
WR - Mike Evans - TB/9 - $18
WR - DJ Moore - CHI/5 - $16
WR - Stefon Diggs - NE/14 - $13
WR - Emeka Egbuka - TB/9 - $10
WR - Keenan Allen - LAC/12 - $5
WR - Jalen Coker - CAR/14 - $3
WR - Kayshon Boutte - NE/14 - $2
Got lots of bye conflicts here, but when you like your guys, you like your guys.
TE - Mark Andrews - BAL/7 - $18
TE - Tyler Warren - IND/11 - $14
TE - Dallas Goedert - PHI/9 - $11
Looking at getting some flex scores here. Andrews can say he's still 29 when the season kicks off on Thursday.
PK - Tyler Loop - BAL/7 - $4
PK - Cam Little - JAX/8 - $4
PK - Chris Boswell - PIT/5 - $4
All strong legs on teams that should kick lots of FG's. I normally stay in the $3 bin, but this year they only offered 7, and 3 already lost their jobs. I dropped a $3 TE to upgrade 3 players.
TD - Los Angeles Chargers - LAC/12 - $4
TD - Atlanta Falcons - ATL/5 - $3
TD - Jacksonville Jaguars - JAX/8 - $3
Kind of a homer pick with the Chargers D.
Extra kicker.Currently agonizing over whether my last $4 is better spent on a 6th RB or a 3rd kicker. Talk about life-changing decisions!
(Leaning towards the kicker since I've been rescued numerous times by that extra leg.)
Noice! Can we get the badge if we made it in the past 2 years we've had this?Is @Joe Bryant doing the side bet again this year for posting your final roster early?
Yes but instead of money, people who post their lineups and finish well get a badge for their avatar. Working on the details.

How about a badge for anyone who has finished top-10 in this contest( I finished 4th one year )
That seems to me like more of an accomplishment than finishing in the top 225...

I was trying to find correlation between overall strength of schedule and top 5 kickers but it was a mix. Boswell/Steelers had one of the toughest schedules but some others in the top 5 were on teams with easier schedules. Like you said, long FGs were key. Might be worth looking at which defenses gave up the most 50 yd FGs which is not a widely available stat.Top 10 contest kickers from last year
195.3 - Chris Boswell - $4
194.1 - Brandon Aubrey - $8
178.8 - Ka'imi Fairbairn - $6
174.4 - Cameron Dicker - $4
171.8 - Jason Sanders - $5
163.3 - Wil Lutz - $4
161.3 - Jake Bates - $3
158.6 - Chase McLaughlin - $4
147.3 - Tyler Bass - $6
145.3 - Justin Tucker - $7
Biggest takeaway from this - kicker scoring has shot up with the longer FG's. The top 5 were top 5 in most 50+ yard made FG's. Also, all 5 of them came from teams that were between 11-22 in scoring. All 5 of the next ones were from teams that were between 1-10 in scoring. If Boswell were a RB, he woulda finished RB19.
Top 10 contest defenses from last year
138 - DEN - $3
127 - MIN - $4
118 - BUF - $6
115 - HOU - $5
112 - DAL - $7
110 - PIT - $6
108 - GB - $3
106 - SEA - $4
98 - CIN - $5
97 - PHI - $5
Biggest takeaway here - take a minute to digest how much more kickers score vs defenses. Also notice the entire price range is in the top 10, just like with kickers. If I have an extra buck, I am going to upgrade a kicker over a defense.
Agree. $86 spent on week 14? Fine if your goal was to make it there, but not past.you have a lot of wk14 exposure when the field gets cut by 40%. thats bad.
Jason Sanders just went on IR. I know he's only a kicker, but assumed you didn't know.Pending any late developments this will be my entry:
QB - Trevor Lawrence - JAX/8 - $15

PK - Cairo Santos - CHI/5 - $3
TD - Los Angeles Chargers - LAC/12 - $4
TD - New York Jets - NYJ/9 - $4
The closest correlation I can see is simply being a middle of the road scoring offense and a middle of the road yardage offense. Then having a kicker with a decent leg. I know many folks are jumping at the chance to roster Evan McPherson, but give me Chris Boswell for the same price. PIT has attempted more FG's than CIN for the last 4 years, and is the only team to have 40+ attempts in 3 of the last 4 seasons. The only other team with multiple 40+ attempts since 2021 is LV, so don't sleep on Daniel Carlson either for $4. I am loving these $4 options this year!I was trying to find correlation between overall strength of schedule and top 5 kickers but it was a mix. Bears, Jets, Raiders D gave up the most FGs from any distance last year. And Steelers, Chargers kicked the most long FGs.
A guaranteed zippo lighters for the first 6 weeks? Sure, if he was cheaper, but $23 would be most team's WR1 or WR2 in this contest. I think people are underestimating how fast teams get cut. Last year, we started with 11695 teams. By week 7, the field was dwindled down to 3502. If you roster Rice, you are hoping you can last til week 7, when more than 70% of the field has been eliminated.Anyone Putting Rice on their team for the late season push?
Your favoritesWell these are my final two entries. I'm not like those two guys in the Bogey film I need a stinking badge.

Joe will try to work on that soon, but nothing is set in stone yet. I am a fan of the 2 QB approach this year. The prices this year lead me to 2 mid-range QB's vs the scarier 3 lower-tier options.Getting close to final.
QB - Brock Purdy - SF/14 - $17
QB - Trevor Lawrence - JAX/8 - $15
JCM is a $6 must this year. I do think many will treat him as their RB2, which I think may be a mistake. He should return value, but doubt he finishes any higher than RB3 status.RB - Josh Jacobs - GB/5 - $29

Let me do you a flavor. You overspent on your kickers. Turn your 2 defenses into 3 instead for $1 more, you overspent on your TEs, and you have your best QB, your best RB, your best TE, your best kicker, and throw in a defense to boot, all on bye and riding the pine on week 10. Is that a recipe to get you to even week 11?!Here is my roster (at least as of today...or even right now). How many weeks will I last?
