it was codenamed "Dragon" internally.  I believe it was originally developed in Ft Worth.  I remember it hitting the markets in 1999 or so.

This is what the cool kids used back in the day: Pagewriter.  Paved the way for RIM, who did a better job of enterprise e-mail.

BTW, when I said "cool kids" above, I meant engineers who happened to work at Motorola.  Maybe not the coolest kids on the block.

My T-900 was pretty damned cool... worked for me until I got the HP pocket PC.  I remember putting like 30 songs on the external memory (the ones that weren't viruses - or porn - from Limewire) and having it when I was skiing.
