Travis Henry sprained his knee. (MERGED THREAD) (2 Viewers)

Henry seems like one of those guys that just can't catch a break unless it's a broken leg. I hope this isn't serious. I always avoid this guy in drafts but I cheer for him on Sundays. He seems like a good guy and a hard worker.
Seriously? Rape down?
The Bill’s Travis Henry was sentenced to 100 hours of community service for sexual misconduct with a 15-year-old girl.
Who did he rape?
Its called statutory rape
No, it's called statutory rape. The girl consented. Ergo, she wasn't raped.

FYI...Henry fell to the 14th overall pick today in our draft...everyone heard he had a "knee injury".

If only there was a thread about this near the top of the first page, then we'd have something. Maybe one with the word "sprained" misspelled in the title.

Monday morning -- should know results by the time we are about to leave work. this is good news actually though -- it must not be bothering him all that bad to be waiting untill Monday and to wait they must not be all that concerned. then again as a Henry owner in 2 leagues having just traded Westbrook for Him and R. Moss I am a little hopefull.
I would be hopful we know something by early p.m.? A lot of FF teams have a lot steaked to this guy.

I'm sure they would move up the MRI if they realized this. Maybe Bloom can let Shanahan know at the next press conference, :goodposting:

After reading from the Denver Post just a few seconds ago, it does look like they will do the MRI today instead of tomorrow at least. Looks like Ekuban is finished with a torn Achillies.

Denver Post

Ekuban, who was about to start his third year in Denver, tore his right Achilles, an injury that will finish his season. Henry, the Broncos' biggest offseason prize, suffered what has been diagnosed as a first-degree sprain in the medial collateral ligament in his left knee. He will undergo an MRI today; if the first-degree sprain is confirmed, Henry should return before the regular season opener Sept. 9 at Buffalo.

(KFFL) Bill Williamson, of the Denver Post, reports Denver Broncos RB Travis Henry (knee) suffered a first-degree MCL sprain in his left knee, which is mild. While he should be available to play for the team's next preseason game, it would not be a surprise for the team to sit him out as a precaution.
(Rotoworld) Broncos coach Mike Shanahan described Travis Henry's knee injury as a "first-degree sprain, the mildest kind."Impact: "It's a day-to-day thing," Henry said himself. "It's nothing too serious." An MRI performed on Sunday or Monday should confirm the Broncos' optimism.
Not sure how accurate these are if the MRI hasn't even been performed yet, but promising news nonetheless. Good to hear Henry himself say that he's not too bad.

For the record, minors can not consent.

just heard a bit of good news -- looks like noone in the Broncos organzation is concerned. They all seem fairly confident its just a minor sprain and he should be fine to practice in a week. Me I am concerned till I see a MRI result. They did however RULE OUT an ACL tear. I am thinking Henry returns week 2 or 3 but thats just my opinion.
if noone is concerned how is that good news?

Earlier you quoted it as being sexual misconduct. If you're going to get your panties all bunched up, you may want to double check and make sure you're not contradicting yourself. :excited: He wouldn't make it 3 days in the FFA, would he Christo?
 Ive been on the FFA since its inception. Hint hint my initial user ID has been suspended for a week.Anyway, I dont really care either way but I thought saying someone who has been convicted of sexual misconduct seems like a good guy was kind of funny.

NFL Radio just reported he has a 1st degree sprain on the MCL and will be available for the next preseason game.

The MRI has been done. NFL Radio reported same as the above.

That is great and all...I just wish they would let him rest up, and give Bell and Sapp the carries next week. I wouldn't rush him back.

if they thought it was more serious than a sprain wouldn't they do the MRI today? Or is there another reason they cannot do it today?

It's not that complicated.

Mike Shanahan is one of the more honest coaches in the league. Mike Shanahan does not play games with his injury report. Mike Shanahan is not deliberately deceptive. This is a myth. Historical data bears me out. This myth entirely stems from the 2001 season where Terrell Davis's status was uncertain from week to week
What about the Portis fiasco of 2003? I drafted Portis 4th that year in WCOFF and due to the short 11 week WCOFF season this fiasco killed me. Let me recap and add we had to have our lineups submitted by noon CST. Not sure of the exact injury but I think Portis suffered a bruised chest or bruised sternum in week 2. He was questionable right up until game time for week 3. I started him and he played sparingly and produced very little. Week 4 he was questionable right up until game time, I started him and he DNP. Week 4 I had enough so I left him on my bench and he put up a monster game. The only time I can think of were a guy I drafted puts up 1800 yards and 14 TD's in 15 games but for all intents and purposes he was a bust for me.

so MRI came back as negative ?

We'll see how it is tomorrow,? said Henry, who scheduled to undergo a magnetic resonance imaging exam on Sunday as a precaution. I feel like everythings all right because I didnt feel no pop in there. I think it'll be good."

It's a day-to-day thing, Henry insisted. It's nothing too serious."

can anyone confirm the MRI had been done

I love the comic overreaction to everything that happens in the preseason. It's the only time of year that the Shark Pool is more entertaining than the FFA.

That's it! I'm crossing Travis Minor off my cheatsheet.

For running back Travis Henry, the tenor was optimistic. He was diagnosed with a sprained left medial collateral ligament, although he will undergo the MRI just to be certain.

"That's what we think at this time," Shanahan said. "I think he might be ready for (next) week's preseason game (against Cleveland) if it's a first-degree MCL (sprain). If it's not, and it's more serious than anticipated, then we'll talk about it."

Broncos coach Mike Shanahan described Travis Henry's knee injury as a "first-degree sprain, the mildest kind."

"It's a day-to-day thing," Henry said himself. "It's nothing too serious." An MRI performed on Sunday or Monday should confirm the Broncos' optimism.

Still waiting..........

Travis Henry to undergo MRI on knee

Broncos RB Travis Henry will undergo an MRI exam after spraining his MCL on Saturday night.

If the test is negative, coach Mike Shanahan said Henry could return next week. But even that seems optimistic. Sprained MCLs can often take up to a month. If serious, Mike Bell could be in line for the starting position early in the year, assuming the injury he suffered tonight is minor. Cecil Sapp would also be in contention. Stay tuned. Any Travis Henry own who did not draft M Bell in a reasonable round is an idoit...

Time to sell high M Bell owners
Ironic.
:lmao: And, the original post is pretty asinine even excusing the misspelling.
OMG... so ####ing sorry I put the o before the i... and how is it asinine not to draft Bell at a reasonable $$ given Henry's injury history. This thread has little to offer... I'll wait for the 8th T Henry thread to come out... that one might have some insight.

What led you to that conslusion? Did I miss something? I'm glad I don't own Henry in any league. I hate waiting to hear MRI news.

I don't see the "But even that seems optimistic..." bit on denverbroncos.com. You wouldn't be adding your own commentary, would you?

Well, this post does prove that you're an idoit.

Rotoworld - Travis Henry's MRI revealed no structural damage to his knee.

Henry only has a knee sprain, but that's usually a multiple-week injury. He's still worth monitoring closely. Mike Bell should start the Broncos' final two preseason games. Aug. 19 - 3:54 pm et
