Tre Mason (1 Viewer)

I don't feel comfortable starting him until/unless Fisher decides to commit to him. Of course, it all depends on your other options.

In a spot where I have to start him given bye week lumps. It's him or Charles Sims. Choice is between a middling but predictable floor in Mason and a low floor but potentially high ceiling with Sims -- if he plays.

I feel like sticking with Mason, as last week against the Chiefs they got behind and had to throw more, but STL really looks like they are trying to employ all their backs, and Cunningham was the most dynamic back out there last week which may continue to hold Mason's ceiling down.

Mason looks like nothing but an Ingram clone to me. Stacy is the total package and this is a rather easy situation to discern. Stacy is in a rare situation and one of a handful of rb's set to receive 300+ carries. I can see 1500yrds and 15td. The rushing title could easily go to Stacy, this is a perfect storm, don't sleep on this situation.
no shame in bifocals as you get older

Mason has averaged 8.0, 4.7, and 5.0 yards per carry. The one time the Rams turned the game over to him, they won, which they do rarely.

Give him the damn rock, Fisher.

Anyone starting him today with the hopes that he is the guy fisher chooses to settle in with? Still a tough matchup on the road.

Seems pretty easy doesn't it?

Flexing him in bye week desperation with Sims out. You're either going to get a turd or a nice day if the touches go this way, anybody starting with more confidence than that would need to make their case.

:scared:

Had a feeling this would be the week he takes it over. Already owned him in two leagues, but was able to pick him up when some idiot dropped him in a third.

A good enough game to this point for Mason. Obviously we all hope he can break one here and be the hero somehow as opposed to getting them into 3rd and 19s after two touches. Solidifying the job is what I'm/we're all after here so the guessing game can end.

Stacy went 19 for 72, 3.55 YPT at SF

Mason is 17 for 56, 3.29 YPT so far; let's get a big one here in the 4th to avoid this comparison....

He's heeeeeeeeere
He looks angry. Love it.
Beast 21 yard scamper there

Kid does not go down without grinding 2-3yards once hes caught
He runs like Lynch
All that for 64 yards on 3.6 YPA with zero touchdowns. :lmao:

It's pretty clear there's some o-line issues that are preventing either back from showcasing their ability to move the chains. Mason looks better but better is still not good.

Stacy went 19 for 72, 3.55 YPT at SF

Mason went 20 for 57, 2.85 YPT
So here we are at 2.85 yards per touch for Mason.

If Fisher says nothing about the job this week, then who do you start Mason over next week at AZ?
The two games Mason 'started' and owned the job, they beat SEA and SF

Draw your own conclusions
Funny thing is if that had been the situation for Stacy you'd be blasting him for the yards per carry. Classic example of how stats can be bent to say anything.

I own both and am a life long Rams fan but the hype and hate with all these Rams backs is crazy.

100% true.

It's so obvious who actually watches every Rams' snap and who are Mason's panty sniffers.

I am all over this thread hoping for a singular Rams RB's success. I want to be in the position to start Mason. He had a so-so game and I will consider him if Fisher says the job is his, but...I ask again...if he says nothing what will Mason's panty sniffer crew do? Start him over who?

Start him over who? Do you really ask this question looking for an answer, without your lineup or matchups posted or anything?

Denial ain't just a river in Egypt.

The 49ers have a very good run defense. The fact that he got the lions' share of carries is the takeaway from today.

Very good sign for Mason owners, and probably time to drop Stacy and/or Cunningham.

Carries Last 3 Weeks:

Mason - 18, 7, 19

Cunningham - 2, 4, 4

Stacy - 0, 5,0

Sorry... but what the hell are we arguing? What point are you guys trying to make?

The answer is slapping you in the face, but you're too stubborn to acknowledge it.

Tre Mason rushed 19 times for 65 yards in the Rams' shocking Week 9 win over the 49ers.

The stat line is not impressive, but the workload was. Mason received 19 of the 23 running-back carries while dominating the early-down snaps. He even saw some work on third down, making a nice block on a third-down conversion in the first quarter. The Rams have apparently realized Mason gives them the best chance to win now and in the future. He should get the majority of the work going forward, and will be an interesting RB2 the rest of the season. Nov 2 - 7:21 PM

wasn't this same thing being said after the seattle game and fisher came back the following week and gave everyone a 3rd of the carries? hard to trust him IMO
