Tre Mason is averaging 70% of the team's RB touches. Over the last four weeks, make that 74%.
Good point and worthy of fleshing out.
Cunningham didnt get significant touches at all against the Redskins, but looked fantastic. Enough so that I benched Mason for that reason (thankfully).
And then last week Cunningham:
(1) looked great early catching the ball,
(2) had moderate snaps throughout when we all feared he'd be handed the ball due to the fumble,
(3) came in on 3rd & 1 from the 1 yard line and didnt get the "touch"....but it was a troubling sign nonetheless, and
(4) was in for +/-90% of the snaps on the final drive as the Rams were in pass mode.
So an uptick in Mason touch % isnt driving increased confidence for me at all given what I see with my eyes. Nonetheless, Mason's still a Top 10-15 RB this week and like many RBs you need to actively fear a vulture.
