Trent Richardson (1 Viewer)

The reason that Trent Richardson has played is because he is the best thing the Browns have. Pat Shurmur needs the other defense game planning for Richardson or the passing game will have even more trouble. Sucks for FF owners of course as now you will be having 2nd thoughts about if the coach is telling the truth or just setting up smoke to waste the opposing defenses time.

I'm sitting him where I can until he shows he's healthy. If I miss out on a monster week because of that fine by me.

ESPN's Ed Werder reported on SportsCenter Tuesday that the Browns are discussing shutting down Trent Richardson (ribs) through their Week 10 bye.

Werder termed Richardson's rib-cartilage injury "serious," and hinted it was aggravated on a "direct hit" in the second quarter of last week's loss to Indianapolis. "The team (is) now discussing whether to hold him out through the bye week to allow him to heal," Werder said. "The fear being that if they don't, he'll be debilitated by his injury all year long. There's internal conflict about shutting him down, though, because Pat Shurmur the coach has to win some games here. They've only got one victory and Jimmy Haslam the new owner says he wants a stronger finish if he's going to bring back the coaching staff."
I dropped Hardesty for Dwyer right before Sunday last week in the league I own TRich. Odds are I won't be able to grab him now.

Sucks for TRich owners who need to win the next couple of weeks, but this is the best thing for TRich owners for the playoff stretch.

I think that playing him injured trying to save his #### might say more to the new owner about Shurmur than a few wins might.

Don't cry, Hardesty sucks - you're better off.

For TRich owners is the back up Hardesty or Ogbonnaya? Depth charts say Ogbonnaya, but both have been seeing the field. Thoughts?

That's what I'm thinking too, but I'm not overly comfortable with placing faith in another Cleveland running back. I'm hoping my 5th WW priority will be enough to land Howling...I guess?

ya, I don't have Hardesty but wouldn't spend a lot to get him as a 2 week rental....they face the #1 rush defense this week in SD, so maybe it makes sense to wait a week for the Baltimore matchup.

I can't think of many formats i would own either backup. In two deep dynos owning richardson and I am not looking at adding them. Hardesty gets two downs and largely ignored. Ogby gets passing downs. Pass

From a fantasy perspective SD is a middle of the road rushing defense (16th-18th depending on format). They have however been absolutely stifling over the past three weeks, allowing the 29th most or 4th least. Yeah, I'm not sweating it anymore thanks for snapping me back to reality guys.

I feel like Richardson was the only reliable thing for Cleveland. If he doesn't play I have no faith in anyone else getting it done.

Looks like he's "playing", but who knows if that means a full game or a handful of snaps and the bench again.

Don't want to leave 20 points on my bench, but also don't want to have a 3 or a 4 in my lineup. :loco:

What are Richardson owners doing this week?

Was sitting TRich for Nelson at Flex, but now I have to wait on word for Sunday morning on both of them. If they both out it may be Ryan Broyles or a quick pickup of Donald Driver at FLEX :wall:

Curious what other owners are doing. I can not win with an 8 for 8 from him then the bench, but I do not have the warm and fuzzies about my alternative Alex Green, so if he is active and there are no reports of a limited workload, he's in my lineup.

Same problem here. Hardesty, Tanner and Andre Brown are my alternatives. I really have no idea what I am going to do.

It's pretty much a roll of the dice and not worth agonizing over.

It's tough to sit the dude but being burned two weeks in a row hurts. I may choose to start Dwyer/Stewart over him, well I probably will.

San Diego is statistically pretty poor against the pass, I wonder if Richardson and Hardesty couldn both have good FF games via receptions and scores....

Yeah, I don't want to start him this week...it's risky, but I don't really have many options, so

I heard weather is gonna be a real mess for this game. Hopefully that means they keep it on the ground and TRich tears it up.

I like his tough determined attitude in quotes this week, coach saying he knew that was coming but had to see in practice, then three good practices...I might be falling for it hook, line, and sinker but I'm rolling with Richardson this week
