This would be sometime in July through September for a couple weeks.

Any suggestions on things to do/eat/see/etc?

How is their attitude, in general, towards Americans?

Incredibly scenic Interlaken, including a trip to next door Schilthorn where they filmed (on top of the mountain) Bond's On Her Majesty's Secret Service (you can take a gondola ride up there).

I was there twice last summer and love the city.  Very expensive.  We stayed at the Four Seasons and loved it.  We then drove through the Italian Alps and stayed at a bunch of Air BnBs.  Great trip.
