True Crime…anyone following the Ellen Greenberg case? (1 Viewer)

Crazy stuff. She died in 2011 and her death was ruled a suicide. The family kept on it and pushed for a better investigation and they just ruled again that her death was a suicide…despite having around 20 stab wounds to the back, heart, neck, etc. How is that possible?

I had not heard of the case, but did a quick reddit Google to learn. https://www.reddit.com/r/TrueCrimeD...rduf/what_really_happened_to_ellen_greenberg/

The twenty stab wounds in that illustration all look achievable by oneself. Some comments said most of the stab wounds were superficial, no deeper than a pencil tip. If it was not suicide, the murderer must be her fiance. She looked very unhealthy skinny in some pictures.

It could be similar to the case of the girlfriend who died in a Spreckles mansion. A respected doctor, she was hanging nude from the second floor railing in this mansion. News helicopters filmed her before her body was brought down. The death was ruled a suicide. Much like this case, many people have always said there is no way she committed suicide. That's possible but it's also true that sometimes people purposely make their suicides look suspicious.

Here is the 911 call. Her husband was in the basement working out, and when he came back upstairs he found Ellen slumped on the kitchen floor with blood pooling around her. He called 911 immediately.

Many people find this call very suspicious. An obvious indicator of his guilt. I, however, found the call very believable. If he is acting, he fooled me. You can judge for yourself.

Without knowing more, my first thought is autoerotic asphyxiation as to the bold scenario. Even more plausible if she happens to be a dentist who, bizarrely, perish at this accidental act far more than other demographics.

It was linked to the death of the Spreckles son. The doctor was watching the kid and he fell off the stairs and ended up in a coma. There was likely a big family storm about the father's trophy girlfriend. The suspicious part is that she was hanging with her hands and feet bound. This was two days after the boy died in the hospital.

Hulu just released a three part documentary on this case. It’s called Death in Apartment 603.

Such a crazy story. The fiancée uncle (who was an attorney) taking the laptop and cell phone the next day was super suspect. I don’t know.

We just watched that. When i googled, the authorities just a few weeks ago concluded their reexamination of the case and still stayed with suicide.

I watched that about a week ago and came away thinking the fiancée is more involved than police and saying. The laptop/cell phone thing is for sure covering tracks.

I felt bad for the building manager lady who seemed to be trying to do the right thing, but no one was taking is seriously at first.
