True Detective: Tom went in to listen to the Cardinals game...in November. Mmmmmhmmmm... (1 Viewer)

I would love to hear the scenarios that would bring season 1 and season 2 together. Please.
Buzzarides discovers that Morty's FIL is the Yellow King. They have to enlist his help to track him down

Hijinks ensue

Go replay the rubber bullet scene. I'm betting good money that was Daddario with the crow mask on. There's no mistaking those tittays.
 I'm pretty sure guy in the bird mask was Marty's father-in-law.
At least we all agree the father-in-law is involved somehow. :hifive:

Show is on the same network as The Sopranos. I wouldn't put it past the producers to bring in Chris Multisanti as a character and the mastermind behind this big sex ring (tied back to organized crime)

Ash, maybe you and shadyridr can hold hands on your way out.
 Still watching but with lower expectations. Just disappointed because I wanted to like this more than I do, but there's still time for it to turn around.

Vince Vaughn bare knuckle brawling badass. Totally believable.
He was a former amateur boxing champ
That is surprising. He just comes across as the guy from all his comedies reading tough guy lines in this show. Was laughing at the dialogue between him and the fat guy he beat up.
I thought he was pretty f'in great in this flick which was a complete departure from his typecast go-lucky guy.

Vince boxed in "made". He also played footballing Rudy he's quite the athlete yet let himself go.

Athlete? Maybe I dont wanna be an athlete. Maybe i wanna let my belt loose a little to let my gut out and go crazy. Crazy? Yeah Im crazy. When I was a little boy I had an imaginary friend named Shiloh and you know what I still talk to him every once in awhile. And you know what me and him talk about? We talk about running around in the garden catching butterlfies to get the juices flowing. So dont talk to me about being an athlete.

Isn't Paul the mayor?

Terrible odds
I think the mayor of the real-life Vinci died under weird circumstances.
Wait, this is docudrama?
Thanks for taking the time away from jerking off to pictures of Ronaldo to ask this question.

I'm not saying the show's going to mirror real life exactly, merely that with this kind of town it certainly seems possible.

You may now return to jerking off to pictures of Ronaldo.

I really liked Season 1. Season 2 makes me want to punch Otis in the uterus.

Check out Banshee if you want a good series...currently on season 3

The city manager already died under more than strange circumstances so they already seem to have tapped into that level of reality.

How do they do these? Couldn't a production member just go place a large bet?

There are strict limits. Nobody can place a large bet.
From someone that doesn't really gamble, what qualifies as a large bet?
Limits on this prop are small by anyone's standards, but mine are smaller than most so I'm not sure what they would be for an unrestricted account. Probably wouldn't take more than $50 or $100 on a bet for this one.
