It seems like every year lately, a pair of wide receivers from the same team manages to finish the season Top 10 in fantasy scoring at the WR position. Examples, Marvin Harrison and Wayne in 2006, TJ Housh and Ochocinco in 2007, Boldin and Fitz in 2008, Moss and Welker last year (although Welker was borderline depending on your scoring system). So what combination of wideouts has the best shot at doing it this year? Let's figure a PPR league with basic TD scoring (no bonuses for long TDs). I'm basing the choices on where a lot of these guys have been ranked in the preseason. If you choose "Another combination", please list the tandem you believe has the best shot at pulling it off and why.

One thing I see in common in all of those situations is there was no top 10 TE.

So eliminate Wayne/Garcon if you think Clark is still going to be productive, eliminate Driver/Jennings if you think Finley will be productive.

Smith/Nicks seems logical. How about Colston/Meachem?

Welker/Moss have the best chance though.

Yeah I guess Colston and Meachum have just as good a shot as anyone. I added them to the Poll, as well as AJ and Jacoby Jones.

At 9:15PM on 9/07/10....

Steve Smith / H. Nicks = 14 votes

Jennings / Driver = 2 votes

.......................................

This is surprising to me considering how everyone seems to be predicting Aaron Rodgers will be the consensus #1 fantasy QB, while Eli seems to fall in the 9-13 range in most of the expert rankings I've seen.

What about drafting two receivers from the same team? For example, I ended up with ReggienWayne and Pierre Garcon as my top 2 receivers.

Rodgers has a tendency to spread it around. So, he could end up the top QB and not really have a stud WR, as was the case last year for the most part. Finley could be the only real stud of the group, with Jennings and Driver being decent, and James Jones and Jordy Nelson getting their share as well.
