That's a good thing. One of things that I'm most proud of is the fact that people are free to express themselves in this country. The filmaker is a ####, but he didn't do anything that justifies violence. The notion that violence is somehow justified in this case is far more offensive than anything that might appear in this film.

I don't even think I can link to it without risking a ban, but I strongly recommend The Onion's take on this issue. Google "no one murdered because of this image."

Egypt:

-The Ambassador did not impose restrictions on weapons or weapons status on the Marine Corps Embassy Security Group (MCESG) detachment. The MCESG Marines in Cairo were allowed to have live ammunition in their weapons. The Ambassador and Regional Security Officer have been completely and appropriately engaged with the security situation. Reports of Marines not being able to have their weapons loaded per direction from the Ambassador are not accurate.

This is quite a mess but Egypt today was much quieter and in most places this will die down fairly quickly. Probably not in the stans or in Iraq though and those delicate domestic situations really don't need any more fuel for the fire.
