It's sad that people still throw that out there as if it is somehow scandalous to be wrong about something and then, what?, not admit it as quickly as others would like. It's a manufactured scandal and always has been. Pathetic.

Good point. Because in Cairo it was an actual spontaneous protest.

If armed men point guns at protestors they disperse. If armed men point guns at attacking militia, the militia keep attacking.

In March, the State Department quietly released records relevant to the Obama administration’s response to the September 11, 2012, Benghazi terrorist attack. Included are transcripts of the telephone call then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had on September 12, only hours after the attack ended, with then-Egyptian Prime Minister Hisham Kandil. As explained by Judicial Watch, whose Freedom of Information Act  lawsuit against the “most transparent administration in history” forced the belated disclosure, Mrs. Clinton flatly told Mr. Kandil, “We know the attack in Libya had nothing to do with the film. It was a planned attack – not a protest.”

Kandil responded, “You’re not kidding. Based on the information we saw today, we believe the group that claimed responsibility for this is affiliated with al-Qaeda.”

Of course, “the film” Clinton was referring to was “Innocence of Muslims,” an obscure anti-Islamic video trailer that she, President Obama, and the administration tirelessly blamed for the attacks despite – let’s quote Clinton again – “know[ing] the attack in Libya had nothing to do with the film.”

Lot's of posts on this thread saying Hillary did not lie regarding the Benghazi episode .   Seems evident to me that she did.   What am I missing?

nobody cares.   everyone expects politicians to lie.   this wasn't some massive coverup.  it was a cluster#### of bad information and backpedaling.  after multiple investigations, the answer is still..."not much to see here."

So she didn't lie her #### off to the American people & congress?   Bad information?   Sounds like she had the correct info within hours but lied about it.  I guess this bothers me more than others.

I Don't have a "yours" right now.  Pretty conservative.   Really don't appreciate the lying to us regardless of political ideals & leanings.   Apparently I'm too thin skinned.   ACA was passed on a whole pack of lies; pretty giant ones I might add.   Won't forget that boondoggle ever.  Apparently some are more forgiving when lied to your face.  Good for you.

If there is an investigation they should keep at it until they have ALL of the information.  We wouldn't want to cut short the truth by allowing a principal party to hold back information.

I get the feeling that most of "GET HER!!!" crowd are the ones who have to hang out at bars until last call desperately hoping for that, ultimately regrettable hook up. 

 
In an interview with Bill Hemmer on Fox 'News' May 17th, Trey Gowdy finally admitted the truth about Benghazi ...

Gowdy told Hemmer, "Whether or not they could have gotten there in time, they couldn't. I don't think there's any question about that."

 
According to the letter sent Sunday, the committee's former chief Republican investigator concluded in January that "nothing could have affected what occurred in Benghazi."

 
Our friends in this thread are waiting for Rush and Hannity to feed them their talking points for this afternoon.
