ugh, i do not like Cole at 145. I thought he struggled with Siler because the weight cut was a little tough, but he is looking pretty horrible here in the 1st against Phan, who is not a slick striker. Cole need to recollect, i don't know how you get hit by the same left hook combo 4 times in a row :loco:
Thank god I am not betting. I would have loaded up on Cole. He is about to get KTFO.
Glad to see he looks like a different fighter here in the 2nd. 1st was scary as a guy who has quite a bit on Cole, but looking a lot better now. As long as he doesn't get tagged too bad, should go into the 3rd 19-19
He looks gassed in the 3rd.
yeah, will be interesting to hear from him after the fights. If he can avoid those left hooks to the head, he would have dominated the fight. I don't know how you get hit by the same combo over and over again. But this is no doubt a fight Cole should have won, he needs to figure out what has happened in his last 2 fights.

Cole may have stolen this. 2nd round was really close.
I think he rebounded in the 3rd and took the round. Going to be close. I have it 30-29 Miller.
They definitely each won a round.
:scared:ETA:  Don't disagree with the decision, I think Phan won the fight too. the thumbs down is for the money that just went down the toilet. I just don't know if 145 is right for Cole or what, but he hasn't looked good in either of his fights at this weight

And no takedown attempt? Just a really disappointing performance by Miller. I thought he won, but can't really complain about the decision.

and you could tell after the fight he didn't think he got robbed either. really could have went either way, i though the way Phan stumbled Miller to start the fight was the difference in that 3rd. I just still can't figure out how you get tagged by that looping left hook over and over throughout the fight. and this vignet for Swick is a little overboard. maybe Fox thinks it will work, but hoy ve.

Yeah, i'm guessing Dana is real happy these guys are starting this fight like they are. Wishing i put more on Demarcus than i did after Cole Miller lost. Swick has a powerful right hand, but he looks like he was head hunting the whole time and wasn't trying to do anything but land the KO. Good for the fans, but a bad idea for Swick

How's it goin guys - been a long time since I posted.Tonight, I'm going with:DaMarques Johnson +200 1.5u to win 3u: Purely a fade of Swick, who I've never been impressed with. I think he always received a lot of hype because he trains at AKA with Fitch, Koschek etc. but as Mo said, 2.5 years out of the octagon, no reason for this stiff of odds.Lyoto Machida -305 6.1u to win 2u: Bader isn't on close to the same level as Machida. I think Machida picks him apart en route to a 2nd round tko.Davis/Prado o1.5 -155 3.1u to win 2u: I trust Davis' fight IQ here, and expect him to use his wrestling pedigree to control Prado on the mat. I believe Prado will have enough durability to survive 2 rounds.Leans on Shogun, u3.5 Shogun/Vera, Cole Miller, Joe Lauzon - but will likely stay off.
Out of curiosity, how did they grade your Davis/Prado over? I'm guessing the cancelled it, right?

Not so much.
 i should buy out of my Shogun fight and admit this is not my night. Demarcus should have finished it in the 1st, and  to Rogan acting like Swick did anything great. He followed with a nice shot to the ground, but Demarcus getting tripped up on that was dumb on his part.Thankfully we have another UFC card in a week. i should have stayed away when i thought this card was a bad one for gambling

When did the UFC start pushing Swick like this, and basically gush all this love for him. I don't get it, maybe this is because it is a Fox show so they are trying to hype everybody up and sell all the fighters they can?

Swick was a fan favorite back when he had quick, exciting fights, and he's a charismatic guy. Not surprised they're pushing him again.

I remember that, but that didn't last too long i thought. I guess they are saying those fights he had with Paulo Thiago and the others were all because of his condition? maybe they were, but maybe they are jut trying to help him out since he has been out for the last 2.5 years, and they are trying to bring his name up to maybe new fans that have come along.

Yes, No Actioned, thank god.

Awesome fight. Fight of the Night.

One of the best of the year too.

As bad as that event was in Canada, this one has been that good. Hopefully that POS Vera doesn't make it end on a bad note.

UFC's first killer main card on network TV. Hope they keep it up. Shogun is exciting enough to overcome Vera's soporific tendencies.

Even though it will never happen, I'd love if Machida fought Silva if he moves down to MW.
that would be fun, or it could be one of those fights where you bang your head against the wall since both may want to counter strike and you see a total of like 10 punches thrown all fight. Glad he is giving Bader fits so far. 10-9 Machida, if he can keep it up, and Shogun can win, i can breath a little easier with a small loss for the night. If one loses, it will be ugly, and if both happen to lose :X

Well at least Bader took a shot at trying to make something happen. Figured this one would go much like the Lyoto/Tito fight.
Yeah, you have to give Bader credit for trying something, but man he could have done that a little better. he runs in like a crazy man with keeping his head in the same spot the whole time. But on the same hand, Machida's jab was real quick, looked real smooth

Rua's favored Goldy because Vera puts on consistently ####ty performances, gasses, and has a new excuse every time.

Dude's been living off the Mir victory of nearly 6 years ago.

Yeah, Goldy's trying, and is certainly reaching, but i wouldn't expect anything else from Goldy. And i absolutely love a great leg kick. Man was that filthy

Rua is done as a contender IMO.
Yup, but Vera did absolutely nothing with Rua absolutely done there. I don't know if Shogun doesn't even train anymore or what, but hopefully this little break helps him. He is owning Vera, but he has to get a 2nd wind or something and take Vera out. And i hate when these guys do this. I would not say this is a spectacular fight, you shouldn't have both guys gassed ion the middle of the 2nd. Sure this is a war of attrition, but if you get one of these guys with a little better conditioning and this fight would be over

ok, by my count is 30-27 Shogun. Is that right, or did Vera take any of those rounds. I think 1st and 3rd were clearly Shogun, maybe you could argue the 2nd, right?

great night for fox imo
:goodposting: the only question is did they bring enough viewers to see all of it? But you have to think everyone involved is ecstatic about the night and the deal they have. I do agree that they don't need title fights on Fox, etc., give exciting fights and people will be all over it. Now don't be silly Shogun, take this 4th and you have the decision locked up, i think. and just don't get KO'd. :scared:

I am sure Vera isn't completely distraught about losing this fight, considering how it turned out for him the last time he had to face Bones Jones
