Can we get Dean Blandino an actual standing desk?
According to those guys on X, no they don't.Ah got it. They run fantasy contests, sponsor the UFL, but don’t run any UFL contests at all. Makes sense.UFL reporters on X are pointing out that despite their sponsorship as an official partner, one can't go to underdog and participate in a UFL DFS contest. What does this mean exactly?Underdog being an official partner and not running contests is a social media discussion today
Underdog people seem exceptionally good people.
It's possible they're bringing negative attention to the UFL brand unintentionally. We'll have to see how the public perceives all this
There are so few teams and players of note in the UFL that I can understand that though. I assume betting props or betting lines Vegas style is more appropriate for a league like the UFL instead of things like fantasy football contests. Does Underdog do prop bets and stuff like that and they’re still not hosting any UFL action? (You can tell I have no clue about Underdog…and don’t bet on props or classic nfl spread bets either)
You can bet on UFL in their sportsbook in NC.According to those guys on X, no they don't.Ah got it. They run fantasy contests, sponsor the UFL, but don’t run any UFL contests at all. I haven't done UFL DFS this year

They've made a lot of bad decisions this year but they've been especially open about it from day one.Why on God’s green earth was this played at a neutral site??? Should’ve been the team with the best record. This is not the Super Bowl, there were like 37 people there tonight.
Taamu has to get some kind of chance in an Half camp this summer. Right? RIGHT?!?!!New day, people catching up on Taamu and last night's game....it's just more people wondering why he isn't in the NFL.
I would trade Levis to the Defenders and take Taamu in a heartbeat and argue the trade rules don't say it can't be another league.
I would probably be able to raise a good amount of money in a GoFundMe for a QB that doesn't panic on third down and do dopey things.
His experience and development is so obvious. I would love an experienced backup.
Do you know Callahan said Brandon Allen and Tim Boyle are good QBs he'd be confident in if they had to play? I would like to throw eggs and vegetables at him like a 1950s cartoon and hold his arm behind his back as he signs Taamu and piano music plays in the background.
I'm beside myself that he's gonna be sitting at home and I've gotta watch these guys soon. (It's also why Ward looks so special, no doubt) The NFL and specifically the Titans have no leg to stand on here. He's far and away better than what's there.

XFL announces QB Jordan Ta'amu has signed with Vikings
The XFL's offensive player of the year is joining forces with the NFL's offensive player of the year.sports.yahoo.com
Is this real?
It's a personal thing with me, but I don't consider anything Yahoo (!) to be legitimate.
He's been with vikings Lions and chiefs I believe.Silly me, so it is! Thought for sure I'd entered '2025' in my search. :knucklehead:
Interesting. It was either the XFL or USFL, before the merger, that really leaned into “famous” former NFL coaches. I think name recognition (players or coaches) is a Very Good Thing for this league so I think they should keep pushing in that direction. The Nashville Kats are more popular than the UFL Memphis team.
This is a belief that doesn't seem true.
I'm watching and can only look and be like umm maybe. It's definitely not clearly an advantage of one team.
The Kats sold out the game! Turn on the game. The upper half is empty and scattered seats in the bottom half. That is (possibly probably) someone buying up the empties to be able to say it sold out.
What they do have is Jeff Fisher and one of the main sports radio station airing their games.
So again, idk that they're more popular but many think this.
I very much enjoyed an interview with Fisher the other day. I didn't care much about the Kats but once they talked of their matchup then they went into memories of old Titans games. He even reminisced a bit about the 85 Bears.
I think that gets people talking and where'd ya hear that? It was an arena league interview and...that's the root of the more popular claim too.
The UFL landed some great coaches and could definitely do this already. The non HOF caliber former coaches may be a detractor as they build. I don't know, kind of thinking out loud here.
The concept now is UFL team will move and Arena team is there to stay so..it's not nothing
Why don’t they just call the jobs seasonal and structure the contracts as such and then no one gets fired? Must be something else we’re missing.Every year! The XFL and UFL have fired much of their staff for the offseason. There is simply no work, no reason to have them, and it's clearly a seasonal job.
UFL reporters have balked at this every year- clearly missing the seasonal aspect.
I would guess it's because its their contacts. Why don’t they just call the jobs seasonal and structure the contracts as such and then no one gets fired?
