I'd send the punter out. That's how Lambo got his start as a PK. Not the same scenario, but Lambo was a punter turned PK due to injury.

Romo was concerned that Winston rushed the ball on that last drive. According to him, it took up too much time. However, i don't think time is a major concern at that point in the game. If they don't recover the onside kick, game is essentially over (especially against Brady)

Why? Because you're going against the best (and most clutch) QB in the NFL. No matter what has happened up to this point, you know he's closing this game out. Tampa's only chance was recovering the onsides kick.

Had to. If you kick it deep, NE could have returned it enough to get to the 2-minute warning, meaning TB doesn't get to used that timeout on the good side of the 2-minute warning. NE could then run 3 downs and kill 90 seconds.

Very curious why they chose to do that. Even if you get the 3 and out why sacrifice 30-40 yards for field possession?
