***UPDATE: Now OFFICIAL MNF Thread*** (1 Viewer)

What a crappy and controversial ending to an otherwise awesome game. :lmao: :jawdrop:
Controversial how? Even if they would have called Gaffney out of bounds the Pats would've scored the TD anyways.
:jawdrop:
They would have gotten 2 half the distance penalties and a 1st down with plenty of time to get 1 yard. Bad review IMO, but I don't think it changes the game any.Should've called OPI on that Hail Mary too.
I agree...just too lazy to open the drop down thing for correct smilie.I was giving the analysis the one thumb up!

I'm really thinking they can go the other way. It will not be pretty in that locker room. I've never seen players show up coaches like that in my life after the coaches called the defensive timeout..

LOL

Wow, I cannot believe what I saw tonight.

If New England does go and go undefeated and win the SB........this game will forever be in my mind. Not that I'll think any less of the Patriots because sometimes you have to win ugly, but just the fact that they had so many chances.

Gratz Pats fans.......stay strong. Everyone's out to get you and tear down your season when and if they can.

You know, the last two Patriot games have been some of the most entertaining games I've ever seen. Love or hate them, it's way more fun than the blowouts.

why are people saying that the ravens deserved to lose?

since when did it matter whether team that won the game deserved to or not?

I go ahead of my opponent by 2 w/ the Brady to Gafney TD. He has the New England D and if they get an interception on that last drive, we tie and he beats me by our tiebreaker rules. I was jumping up and down on that dropped int and the last play. What a way to win the division, I thought I was going to have a heart attack. :excited:

Maybe NE is the team of destiny. The penalties called were what? 13-3? With NE getting 2nd, 3rd, 4th chances on their last drive. Crazy. Billick wasn't helping any with his vanilla offense but that D deserved the win and they got the pinstripe shaft. Good for Scott. I would have shoved that flag up the refs ###.

If I'm the owner or GM, I'm completely revamping this crew after that disgrace. Sure, the coaches made a bad decision, but you can't do that. Never can a player show up his coach like that. If I were Rex Ryan I would've taken out the guys who did it, no matter if they are your studs. Shows that the team doesn't respect their coaches and without that respect, they will never get to another Superbowl.

So much for the Pats being the best team ever. Hell I don't even think they're the best team this year......
Remember, except for once, every great team in the history of the league has lost at least 1 game in a season. Even if they had lost, you'd have to wait until the end of the season to make that kind of judgment.

Big win for the Pats.

I still think their D is average and will not stop the likes of Dal/GB/Ind/Pit (maybe)

The problem with a team like, say Dallas, is they don't match up well against the NE offense...at all.

If NE gets by Pitt, it is all over but the crying for Shula and Co.

i dont even know who they play next week...but im betting against them as soon as the line opens. that #57 was almost in tears after what happened and i dont see these guys rebounding at all.

"they had 'em"

"they let 'em off the hook"

"crown their ###"

Riddle me this . . .On kickoffs, isn't the rule that kicking the ball out of bounds results in the ball being spotted 30 yards from the spot of the kick? If so, he should kick the ball out of bounds and pin them at the 5 yard line.
I looked it up and I was right . . .
When a kickoff goes out of bounds between the goal lines without being touched by the receiving team, the ball belongs to the receivers 30 yards from the spot of the kick or at the out-of-bounds spot unless the ball went out-of-bounds the first time an onside kick was attempted. In this case, the kicking team is penalized five yards and the ball must be kicked again.

Looking forward to hearing what Ray Lewis has to say about this in teh post-game soundbites. Billick may not come out alive.

After watching NE the past 2 weeks, I think the Steelers have a legit shot next week. I think Lebeau will have a few tricks up his sleeve for Brady & Co.
