This may sound like a strange pick but I think am going to choose Dest as Man of the Match.  I don't think he was beaten even once by those dynamic forwards and his long range crack led to the winning goal.

I'm fine with that...media will obviously go with Soto because of the brace.

It is two straight games Uly changed the whole flow of the game.

Tab has to give serious consideration to starting Uly.

After a good start to the tournament, de la Fuente has all the look of a player playing up a level.  He seems to have lost his confidence in that he can't boss the older players the way he is used to.

You almost have to wonder why France was not able to exploit this more with Diaby.

Part of it may be Diaby himself.  At times he looks like the second coming of MBappe and then he just disappears.

Damn it, I actually started writing that out and deleted it.  I felt like I was getting carried away with the euphoria.

But I 100% agree - due was nails.

It is one of those things you really need to watch closely to appreciate but never getting beat as a wing defender against this level of opponent is what keeps you in games that you are the big under dogs.

It is even better when I was questioning Dest's defensive skills earlier in the tournament.

I think the replays have been a bit hit or miss in terms of whether they are shown, so keep your fingers crossed.  I always DVR the live match to be sure.
