US Men's National Team (11 Viewers)

I'm sorry, but the fact that the ****ing cowards at the USSF dropped this news right during the match shows that absolutely ZERO has changed in this corrupt federation. If you're gonna make this call, at least sack up and do it in a big way.
Indeed. I thought Sunil was bad back in the day, but the USSF are a bunch of no talent *** clowns.

Pulisic has been excellent this half. Absolutely embarrassing their RB. Gotta think there's a lot of eyes on him this game too.

Balogun's hold up play has been very good so far. I want to see more from him going forward, but that might just be him needing to get more comfortable and used to the team.

Everyone else has been as expected. Happy that Dest doesn't seem to be too rusty. He's been good so far.

Not surprising though and I'm mostly ok with it. It didn't seem like anyone at least 1 level up from GGG was a serious candidate. My personal thought are that any decent candidate was using us as a bargaining chip.

On the game... I was getting worried it would be one of those 65/35 games that we gave up a stupid one. 1-0 feels good at this point especially the way we are moving the ball. I like so far.

very solid half. Strong performances from multiple players. Balogun clearly not quite on the same page as his new teammates but that is to be expected.

My Milan WhatsApp Patreon group is going wild. My friends around the world are literally laughing.

USMNT had zero intent on getting a new coach. Also American Outlaws have zero backbone as well and miss the Feds @$s over this.

I hope this blows up in their face. Is anyone who’s on USMNT still have their one free transfer country spot on the squad who are key because I hope they threaten to switch at this point. I know if I was team captain and best player there if I had it I’d threaten it. You bring this hot garbage tool back I’m out

how much I love Gio taking corners.
musah still makes some bonehead plays tho they get fewer each game.
back 4 look nice.
Flo being beat on … a proper concacaf introduction
happy cp10 put it in the onion Basket he’s looks like he’s trying to prove something.

I do wonder if the USSF simply doesn't have enough money to lure a big time manager away from the club game.
It’s just a lot of nepotism and I talked to some people at the annual USS coaches clinic in Philly when here. They said no one wants to touch this mess that’s not already involved

At that level the coach makes a minimal difference aside from player selection and formation/strategy to an extent. Just put the best 11 out there and let it go. GGG can't really screw that up right? Oh wait...

This is like boys against men.

If not for that CP howler and imo some strange reffing, it's a bloodbath. As it is... It's like the US is playing against a just trying to hold on Mex C team... And maybe they are.

I don't find this as embarrassing as everyone else. They made a point of saying that he was always still a candidate. They took a shot at luring an upgrade. I'm sure if a big name had bitten, then they would have gone in that direction. But if it was coming down to Berhalter, Vieira, and Marsch, and maybe Thierry Henry? We wanted them to take a real look. Sounds like they did.

US playing way more patient than I remember recently. Kinda nice to see. Less stressful type of play, almost like the pressure is off. It's a different feel vs mex than in years past.
100%

And first time in a while that I can remember that Pulisic is just playing and not trying to force stuff.

The Mexican CB is glued to Balogun which is leaving the wings wide open. Weah with some great runs up the right and Pulisic just torching the left. Balogun already having an impact, IMO. They have to respect him up top.

I think they are going to start cheating and Flo is going to come out of nowhere and bang one in.

THIS is what I've been waiting for. Mexico is just chasing. Hopefully all the closing down they've had to do is going to catch up with them and result in some tired legs.

I think they know they are better. Many aren't kids any more (well, everyone but Gio I think)
Musah and Gio are both 20 and are the youngest but twenty is not really young considering how early both started as pros. The US can no longer be called a young team Imo. Pulisic, Weston, Adams, Jedi, Miles etc are either entering or are already in their prime years.

Davies with some really interesting comments
Maybe I am being incredibly naive but I am not worried about Gio and GGG. I think GGG can put it to bed instantly if he wants.
He will. He wants to win and keep his job, and the reality is Gio is just way too good to exclude entirely

I do think getting blooded at WC22 did a lot for these guys. They've played on the biggest stage and did well. They have confidence that they will only go up from here.

I do wonder if these guys will stop seeing México as peers and just be over them.

Awesome. Halftime isn't about our domination. It's a crapshow about GGG.

Hey, we just dominated Mexico for 45 minutes. No one wanted this sh** show of a job. Move on.

Pulisic looked great. Back line didn't freak out. Wear can out run everyone...

Nope. 5 minutes of "REAAAALLLY?:
