Fabian Hürzeler becomes new Brighton manager, here we go!

He’s officially the youngest manager in Premier League history — 31 years old, born in February 1993.

Contract until June 2027 for Hürzeler.

Agreement reached between St. Pauli and #BHAFC on compensation fee.

Thoughts on starting a healthy Josh Sargent (assume he's fully healthy)? We seem to get so little out of our CFs that having a great-pressing, dirty-worker, scrappy-goals guy might be an upgrade IMO.

Reyna and McKennie don't seem to be able to complement each other,
This is interesting. IMO, If everyone is fit and playing, Adams, McKinnie, and Reyna should be our midfield 3. Adams 6, McKinnie 8, Reyna 10 (4-2-3-1). Although if GGG plays McK and Reyna both more as 8s (4-3-3) then maybe it doesn't work? Or maybe without Adams to balance is what causes this?
Why do you feel that way?
we don't have a #9 that seems impactful against decent teams, etc.
We don't have anyone feeding a 9, whether that is due to the players or the tactics. At this point I am not even sure Kane would find success in the US team's style.

Makes sense. But he's not healthy right now.
If we are running a system that completely ignores the number 9 offensively, then Sargent certainly makes the most sense since he contributes defensively.

Hopefully he is healthy enough to be a sub in Copa.

Another clue that Turner may be moved this summer

On the call for #NYCvCLB tonight, the man @DevonKerr9 says sources with knowledge tell him Columbus Crew and US U-23s goalkeeper Patrick Schulte is being monitored by Manchester United (among others)
I met this kid's uncle at a bar at The Stat during March Madness. I was wearing a USMNT jersey so he was chatting me up about his nephew that I had never really heard of.

[Di Marzio] Weston McKennie is still unable to reach an agreement with Aston Villa, neither on wages nor on agent commissions. This is the main obstacle blocking the swap. Juventus and Villa both want to complete the swap before June 30th

I saw something that Swags part seemed close and easy to fix. Hadn't heard about the agent bit.

After new contacts today, still NO agreement between Juve and McKennie on exit conditions. He could be removed from swap deal for Douglas Luiz; Juve and Villa considering other options
Weston has now been removed from the deal and replaced with Barrenechea.

Are we happy or sad about this?
It seems like this might have a chance of creating animosity between Snacks and Juve - hope he doesn't just stay there now and die on the bench.

On the surface it does not sound great.

New Juve coach seemed fine with selling Weston. Luiz could easily take minutes from Weston depending on how new coach sets things up.

My biased position is that this is better for Juve as I think Weston is a better player than Barrenechea. But Juve tried to bury Swag last summer, and there may be fear it could happen again even after his strong season.

It seems clear that Weston sees this as his last big Euro contract and wants to maximize it. And Juve don't want him to walk for free.

Rumors flying Esmir Bajraktarevic will play for Bosnia. Not good for the U.S soccer system. He has a lot of potential. The program is losing top teenage prospects it would like to keep: Vargas, Buck, Bajraktarevic (all American born & raised). That’s not good
This may look worse than it first appears.

We are losing players like Esmir and Vargas for the exact same reason we are landing players like Dest, Balogun, Johnny and Musah. Players these days are always on the lookout for an easier path to international minutes. With the core of the US team still 25 and under, there may be feelings that it will be tough to crack.

I personally think 18 is a little too young to have made that decision. A tremendous amount can change in a 4 year period especially once a new coach takes over.

Well this is odd, but FC Cincy have sent an official transfer bid to Juventus for Weston....

I don't know how this makes any financial sense for Cincy, but the bid was $15m. A little on the low side but Juve look to want to move Weston before he leaves on a free.

Aston Villa couldn't come to terms with Weston with EPL money. How's Cincy gonna afford Weston's salary?

There was a EPL team (I forget which) that made a good offer to Bradley back in the day but TFC beat it easily. Seeing that Weston appears to be getting low ball offers (at least lower than what he wants), I have to assume Cincy has an idea of what he wants.

It could be a PR move as well for all I know on Cincy's part.

But if he runs his contract out so that he's on a free to a new team they can pay him more (since there was no fee). I think?
Agreed. But that does not come with out risk.

An injury or getting frozen out all season could lower his value. Banking a $40m (8mx5) would be a career contract and still allow for at least one more contract.

Hajduk Split has announced they will not release Rokas Pukstas for the Olympics. I'm guessing this means he's on the move but they've been pretty stingy releasing him for any window they don't have to do so so maybe they are just being dicks. His father ran the Marathon in the Olympics so I imagine he'd be pretty keen on going.

Is he cap tied? Starting to lose some decent players.
