I saw the news about Celtic but know nothing about him as coach, only as a player.

How was he at Columbus? Any particular managerial traits, tactics?

Fun fact: I went to the Project 2010 presser in person (1998) and then got to hang out on the field at RFK while the USWNT practiced (or maybe pre-practice?).

2002 me was convinced we were on our way. Now I am old and jaded, and am convinced we may not actually be any closer than we were ~25 years ago.

I'm sure they want to wait as long as possible, but I don't see how Slot ends up surviving this. He's getting less than zero out of absolutely top-of-the-world class players. They're not all that dangerous, they can't defend at all, they're making all kind of crazy mental mistakes, the substitution pattern is basically Hail Mary game-chasing stuff. It's really really bad.

PSV are winning games in holland, but they've looked less than convincing. Kinda shocked they neat liverpool, even in their bad run.
 
Tessman went 90 in a 6-0 win in Europa League
Trusty went 90 in a 3-1 win in Europa League
EPB went 90 in a 2-1 win in Europa League
Richards went 45 (subbed in at half time) in a 2-1 loss in Europa League


Note: All 4 players above played CB today as Tessman shifted to RCB from his normal DM position, in a 3 man back line.
 
Cole Campbell has apparently handed in a transfer request to Dortmund. He wasn't very impressive in the U20 World Cup but clearly has some big skills. IMO he would benefit greatly from playing time against good players. It's hard to improve when the guys you go up against just aren't that good.

Yes. He's one of the fastest guys in the BL. He has good dribbling skills that allow him to move at pace with the ball.

He makes really bad decisions. He never uses his off foot making him incredibly predictable. He doesn't pick his head up. His in game intelligence - or lack thereof - resulted in him not performing. These are things that can improve, especially with playing time. It doesn't mean it will, but it can.

I was playing.
He was disappointing and underwhelming for the US for all the reasons you said (and we discussed in real time during the WC) and especially because i think most of us were expecting big things.

But yeah, i saw some qualities- combo of explosiveness and skills, plus desire to be the guy... Hoping more PT cleans up the decsision-making
 
Sebbb went the full 90 in a 3-1 win over San Diego in the Western Conference final.

Vancouver now travels to face Inter Miami and their cadre of no name players in MLS Cup.
