David Moore and Calvin Watkins, of The Dallas Morning News, reports Dallas Cowboys PK Mike Vanderjagt claims he was not drinking before the television interview four years ago when he criticized the leadership skills of Indianapolis Colts QB Peyton Manning and head coach Tony Dungy. Manning responded to Vanderjagt's comments and referred to him as the idiot kicker who got liquored up and ran his mouth. "I said something I shouldn't have said, it bothered him and that's what he came back with. That doesn't make it the truth. It's absolutely false. There is nothing in my past that would indicate to him that he should say something like that. It has taken on a life of its own because it came out of the mouth of Peyton Manning, but that doesn't make it true," said Vanderjagt.
