Titans defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch felt good enough to start his 54th straight game, but three plays later he was back on the sideline thanks to a lingering groin injury.
Vanden Bosch, who said he felt good during warm-ups, didn't return to the game.
"I didn't aggravate anything. I just wasn't able to really get started,'' he said. "We were better suited having the guys out there at 100 percent than me not at full speed.''
The Titans were able to generate pressure on Kansas City's quarterbacks, recording three sacks and knocking starter Brodie Croyle out of the game with what the Chiefs said was a season-ending MCL injury.
Vanden Bosch, who suffered the groin injury against the Ravens on Oct. 5, said he hopes to be at full strength for next Monday night's game against the Colts.
"A couple more days and it should be fine," he said.
