Vegas casinos starting to go smoke-free? (1 Viewer)

scratch vegas off my bucket list.
I'm sure as long as their are cigarettes, they'll be allowed downtown Vegas.  Really no place for it on the strip these days.  Vaping is everywhere though and perfectly acceptable.  This last trip I actually asked my buddy at one point if it was still allowed.in casinos because for the first time it seemed out of place.  Right now 80% of Las Vegas billboards are dedicated to medical marijuana.  The next revolution in smoking will be upon us soon and who knows how all the rules and laws sort out.

If this happens I might get interested in Vegas again.  Seriously.  I literally can't breathe when I'm there.  Between the smoke and the circulated dry air everyone sounds like a cross between Bea Arthur and Rod Stewart after 3 days.

I wonder how they will accommodate the smokers?  I assume ecigs will still be cool.  Maybe they will have glass smoking huts set up like airports.  I would think they don't want the customers to walk away from the slots for long.

This probably hurts the crappy casinos the most.

This.. agreed to trip with buddies at the end of the month.  I was actually dreading it for this reason, allergies just ruin it for me in those smoke pits - this would be a welcome change.

I find ecigs 100x more annoying than regular cigarettes.  No smoker will blow smoke in someone's face but a vaper has no problem allowing an enormous cloud to linger in someone else's face.

I hate it.

Foxwoods casino has a no smoking casino and there's no smoking allowed in the poker room.   But there are also two smoking casinos in the same building.  I don't even like walking through the smoking casinos.

If the smoke has that much of a negative effect on you, I really can't see Vegas being a good place for you to visit.  Probably would complain that the skirts were too short too, on the hottie smoking in the bar.

They should not ban smoking but have separate sealed rooms without fans so smokers can truly enjoy and marinate in smoke and have a first class smoking experience.

Exactly. Take that #### elsewhere for people who want to smoke. Others shouldn't be subjected to it against their will.

It's really just a matter of Vegas finally catching up. Most restaurants, bars, etc. are smoke free or heading that way.

Nah, the chick smoking in a casino is most likely an overweight 75 year old who is rolling around her oxygen tank. Not a hottie.

I've never smoked a cigarette in my life. Nasty things. I used to hate it when I would smell cigarette smoke in a bar/restaurant, etc. Now I love being able to walk around places and go out and have everywhere be smoke-free. What's weird though, and I'm sure this sounds dumb, is that I actually don't mind it at casinos. In fact, I may even enjoy it in a weird nostalgic kind of way. I realize this makes no sense.

I would welcome the change. I think something like 15% of people smoke. Even if you bump it to 25% for the casino crowd, that's a small percentage putting a pretty big impact on the majority.

That because you are hanging at the Downtown Grand Las Vegas and not the Belliago, going cheap in Vegas is rough.

It is called Sin City people!   SMH   You want smoke free, go to Disney with your little brats.  ;)
