Here's a mini trip summary. Stayed at Paris from Saturday until red-eye flight back Tuesday night. Never stepped foot in Paris before. It's just ok in my opinion as far as layout/atmosphere goes. The room was very underwhelming, felt like a Hilton Garden Inn basically. But, the location on the strip is pretty solid. Walked up strip to Harrahs/Venetian/Pallazzo three different times during stay and it's not bad at all. I liked the vibe at Planet Hollywood next door better, although I didn't game there at all.Eats:Kerry's Gourmet Burgers (KGBs) - (Harrah's) - It's gotta be new because I stayed there in March and don't remember it. Had a fantastic burger (the one with blue cheez) and the prices are super reasonable. Definitely can go there when a game is on as they have multiple large tvs in the dining area.Koi - (Planet Hollywood) - We wanted to go to a sushi place before the 10:00 "O" show and picked here. We were not starving either as we ate at Kerry's earlier in the day. Ordered the kobe pot stickers, two cut rolls and two hand rolls. Very tasty. Pricing seemed ok but I'm as up to date on my sushi places as I should be...total was about $80 with tip.Tao - (Venetian) - Went here Monday night. Was trying to get into Emeril's stadium to watch the games but they kept saying they had nothing open. So, we were a bit underdressed for Tao, especially me, but I don't give a rats ###. Food was good...pretty expensive...great atmosphere. As far as Emeril's goes, it's pretty cool. Not what I expected as I thought it would be larger with more tables (sorta like ESPN Zone used to be), but if you can get in there it would be great to spend the afternoon watching games. Definitely call a few days ahead to reserve a spot.Since I was with the wife, I didn't gamble as much as I normally do. I was positive on football thanks to going 2 for 2 Saturday after I got in, had a good Sunday hitting a 3-teamer and some straight plays, and all my Ravens plays won. If I hadn't missed my largest bet of the weekend on the Chargers in the final game it would have been nicer. Pretty much treaded water in blackjack. Played some roulette with the wife...of course we lost, it's roulette...but it was fun. Finally started to play craps on Tuesday before we left....found a few $5 tables, which turned to $10, at Harrah's and cashed out up $390 in two hours. The table next to us went nuts at one point...a guy there won $20K for hitting all points 4-10 without repeating the same number twice. Nuts. After dinner I got another hour in at a $10 Paris craps table and won $295 more. I'm itching to play right now...but I'm guessing that's not normally what happens on craps tables (I normally don't play craps). No poker for me this trip.
