Collarbone was my initial thought as well.Schefter is reporting a 'rumor' that he has a hairline fracture of his collarbone.
Thats what IVe been hearing. 6 weeks.Derrick Gunn on CSN Philly's Eagles Post Game show is reporting could be 3 broken ribs, and possibly out up to 6 weeks. Still too early to say for sure though.
Not sure it sucks for McCoy owners, particularly in PPR leagues. This sucks for everyone who owns Vick, McCoy, Jackson, and Maclin. It's only going to go downhill for Kolb as teams gameplan and their schedule gets tougher.
McCoy will be money, the rest are in the tank. This sucks for everyone who owns Vick, McCoy, Jackson, and Maclin. It's only going to go downhill for Kolb as teams gameplan and their schedule gets tougher.
McCoy won't get the running lanes like he does with Vick. He sucked against the Packers when Kolb played. Not sure it sucks for McCoy owners, particularly in PPR leagues. This sucks for everyone who owns Vick, McCoy, Jackson, and Maclin. Yeah, i played against McCoy today, i can vouch for that junkMcCoy will be money, the rest are in the tank. This sucks for everyone who owns Vick, McCoy, Jackson, and Maclin. It's only going to go downhill for Kolb as teams gameplan and their schedule gets tougher.
Definitely a bump to Celek though. He was MIA with Vick in there. Kolb will bring him back. This sucks for everyone who owns Vick, McCoy, Jackson, and Maclin. It's only going to go downhill for Kolb as teams gameplan and their schedule gets tougher.
JG: "something's wrong, they're just not sure what yet...."Fox's Glazer just reported x-rays were negative.
Well that puts the broken bone rumors to rest.Fox's Glazer just reported x-rays were negative.
I think it really depends on your roster size. My wife is actually in one where you can only keep 2. Her other is Orton, she can start him but on a bye, she'll have to pick someone else up and drop Vick.If you have a huge roster size, sure stash him away but there are leagues out there where you're forced to make REALLY tough decisions. Personally I'm starting to like leagues like that, not where you can IR players all over and keep 4 Qb's on a roster.I think you still hold onto Vick if its six weeks. He would be back by week 11 or 12 and could help a team surge into the playoffs.
I'm not a doctor, nor did I stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night, but this would tend to make me think bruised ribs. Painful, but not nearly as bad as a broken rib, or collarbone.JG: "something's wrong, they're just not sure what yet...."Fox's Glazer just reported x-rays were negative.

If I'm the Eagles I've seen enough already. Bring on Garcia.Jeff Garcia a possible return? Would be stupid imo. They spent so much money on Kolb, don't you have to see what you have in the guy at some point?
How much time do you think he would miss with 3 broken ribs?Early (unsubstantiated) report out of Philly is 3 broken ribs.
Wouldn't the best case be he is sore and has nothing else wrong with him and he doesn't miss any time?Best case scenario he misses the next 3 games and returns after the Eagles bye week 9 against the Colts.

Yeah, he got jacked up is what. I cant believe his collar bone isnt broke after that sandwich hit...JG: "something's wrong, they're just not sure what yet...."Fox's Glazer just reported x-rays were negative.
Probably helps all Celek owners..This sucks for everyone who owns Vick, McCoy, Jackson, and Maclin. It's only going to go downhill for Kolb as teams gameplan and their schedule gets tougher.
How in the hell do you know what the best case scenario is? We dont even have a definitive diagnosis yetBest case scenario he misses the next 3 games and returns after the Eagles bye week 9 against the Colts.
Note to all QBs -> this why you slideGoing to have MRI tomorrow.
also speculation. not even a doctor could know this without mri results.X-Rays are negative. Howard Eskin on Sports Final says Vick has a sternum injury, and they suspect torn cartilage on his ribs. MRI tomorrow will show if that is the case.EDIT: he also said expect Vick out 2-3 weeks.
X-rays are not definitive with this sort of potential injury. The MRI will be as to hairline fractures and the like. I still wonder whether he also/instead might have separated his shoulder, although typically that happens with an extended arm and not an arm tucked into the chest like Vick's was.The thing that also concerns me is that he seemed to be clutching his right (throwing arm) side.Going to have MRI tomorrow.
He looks like he is in pain for sure, very gingerly trying to put that shirt on. At least he's up and moving around and it's not an arm or leg injury. It's certainly something that he hopefully can come back and play in a few weeks. Here's Vick in the locker room looking very sore.

He throws left-handed.The thing that also concerns me is that he seemed to be clutching his right (throwing arm) side.
lolAnd the worse case?Best case scenario he misses the next 3 games and returns after the Eagles bye week 9 against the Colts.
