Video games...what ya playing? And what are you looking forward to? (5 Viewers)

The thing about Watch Dogs that I hated was that there were way too many timed missions and chasing people in cars missions. Couple this with the fact that the cars drive like they're on ice and it makes the whole thing really frustrating and stressful when it should be fun.

So I just finished playing through The Stick of Truth, and freaking loved it. What other games are similar to this for the ps3? I put many hours into Skyrim already, but I'm new to the turn-based combat genre, and this was right up my alley.

This is one of my favorite threads here. I know you guys won't steer me wrong. ;)
There's always Fallout.

Agreed. Driving should be 100% optional.

Really like the concept, I just feel overloaded with all the hacking options. Yes Im getting old

League of Legends North American Spring Season starts today. At 6:00 ET the first ever LoL sports scholarship winner will play with his team (he attends Robert Morris).

Has anyone here played The Talos Principle on PC?

Only thing holding me back is the price tag, but this game looks right up my alley.

I know no one cares but I laughed. My Madden 25 franchise. I moved the Jaguars to Orlando and named them the Sentinels. I was hoping I would get to pick the uniform because I was going to give it a red shirt black pants and yellow sneakers and make them look like Mickey. Bot the funny part. Also, the Bucs have moved to LA and are called the Aftershocks - which I think is cool.

But the funny part - the Browns just announced they are moving to................... Dublin. I could just envision the Civil War like reaction in Clevland over that. Poor Cleveland. Even in make believe Madden world you just can't seem to win.

In Madden 11 I moved the Bills to LA and renamed them the LA Riot.

OK finally nearing end of ME3 (played whole trilogy starting last year). I go through games slowly and usually take a year plus to finish a deep game (played Skyrim for over a year).

I lean towards fantasy genre but am open to anything sci-fi, horror, or fantasy. Been reading some reviews and here is what I am considering:

Dragon Age: Inquisition

Skyrim: Online

Assassins Creed - Have never played so any recent game

Middle Earth - Shadow of Mordor

P.T.

Latest GTA

Anything else I should be considering? Which of these is the best?

Dragon Age is the same people that made Mass Effect. So the system is a bit familiar. Assassin's Creed is fun if a bit repetitive. Everything I hear about Mordor is that its LOTR with the Arkham engines.

IMO ACII has the best story of all the games you listed (and best AC game overall) by a wide margin. The controls can be difficult to master and sometimes chasing after someone (or running away from guards) can be a lesson in frustration but it is a very fun game.

I actually liked those controls a lot better. Once they made it easier to climb (AC III-forward), that's when it got frustrating for me, because I was constantly climbing stuff I didn't mean to.

Avoid Elder Scrolls Online. It's supposed to be a total disaster.

The whole of last month I was sort of addicted to TF2 (Team Fortress 2 for the uninitiated). So much so that my New Year's eve went by in a jiffy - all the while playing - and I didn't even realize when the clock struck midnight. Then came my New Year resolution.. no MMORPG for sometime (till the Let It Die game releases at least) and so these days I'm playing things like these pet games along with my daughter, or candy crush or even Plants vs Zombies. And looking forward to - Let It Die, Dead Island 2 and also Rise of the Tomb Raider.

No MMO after playing TF2? That's like going out drinking all night and then saying you're giving up crack for awhile.

If you want a refreshing change of pace before going into a deep RPG again like Dragon Age 3. Pkay Shadows of Mordor. Addicting and imo one of the finest hack n slash games ever.

Another gripe about ME3 and EA in general. Been going through another full play through and just started ME3 the other night. Last night my internet was out but I figured I'll sit down and play some Mass Effect so no big deal. Except that I purchased all the DLC for said game (including the supposed launch day DLC). EA apparently has it where you can't play a save that has DLC without being connected to origin, even if you purchased it through the MS marketplace and have it on the local hard drive. The stock game can supposedly be played without DLC but that mean starting a brand new game.

So again, #### you EA.

ESO was a lot of fun the first play through. It did get a little repetitive after the first faction but I had fun. I played to max level and then quit when there was no end game content. They just dropped the subscription fee so I may head back once in a while.

I'd vote ACII, good start to the franchise to see if you want to play more. They do get repetitive, but I love the AC games.

I'd also take a look at the first 2 Dragon Age games if you haven't played them yet.

Need a game recommendation. Xbox360 or PS3, but preferably 360. Just a simple zombie shooter game, multiplayer if possible. I have the original left for dead, and I know it has a sequel. Anything else I should look into? Hopefully under $30. Thanks!

I highly recommend the dragon age series but Inquisition isn't a great introduction to the series story wise.

Left for Dead 2

You know the mechanics. More of the same.

You can get it for $10 most places.

Just picked up Dying Light on the walk home and I'm excited. All I need is Dead Island with parkour and I'll consider it a win--the day/night cycle and a more serious tone are just icing on top of the cake.

I'll update here once I've played for a bit later.

I just finished Walking Dead: Season 2, after picking it up on sale for $6 back in December. That was really good. The non-spoiler reviews I read mostly said "good but not as good as Season 1," and there was a scarcity of game-altering choices for the first several episodes, but the last couple of episodes were awesome. I somehow managed to stumble into the least popular ending out of 7 or 8 possibilities, which is in itself pretty cool.

Edit: It is basically impossible to discuss the plot of this game without serious spoilers. SERIOUS spoilers. Like, totally-ruining-the-entire-season spoilers. I am very happy that I avoided anything plot-related before playing this. That said, you need to play Season 1 to "get" Season 2. Not up for debate. They're both awesome and stress-free, so enjoy them in sequence as they were intended.

Next up from my backlog: Infamous First Light. Then Transistor and/or Apotheon from PS+, but those sorts of games tend to be hit and miss and who knows how much time I'll get from them. I still have the port of GTA5 on deck that my son has gotten a bunch of hours from but I've hardly touched. But all this is really just killing time for Bloodborne.

I officially hate my PS4. I got it for my kids for Christmas, I am more of a PC guy. Anyway I had it shipped to my parents since we were spending Christmas there. I set it up as my primary PS4. Brought it home and didn't really pay attention much because we got hardcopies of games. Well this weekend I purchased Diablo III digitally. My son couldn't play it using his profile so I looked it up and it was because my PS4 was saying it wasn't the primary. It wouldn't let me deactivate it. I called PS support and tried to get them to deactivate it and said that I supposedly deactivated in January. I don't remember doing that, but even if I did my PS4 wouldn't be "active". They told me they can't deactivate it for 6 months.

6 months!!! ####### bastards. Stupid.

I don't know what anything you said means. Activate a console?

do you have 2 ps4?

You activate one PS4 as your primary console. When you do that any digital content you purchase can be used by other users on that console. If I log in with my PSN profile on another machine I can play the games I downloaded digitally, but no other users can.
