Bethesda was having the worst, most cringe-worthy presser ever until they finally got to Todd Howard and FO76 after almost an hour. A terrible musical performance, then Rage 2, Doom 2, Prey and Wolfenstein DLC, and a weird free Quake revival no one asked for, and it was a ####show of awkwardness and forced pauses for quiet, reluctant applause. And the social awkwardness of the developers, my god.
Then Howard came out to talk about FO76, after a really funny Skyrim meme lampoon. People are gonna be torn on its always-online multiplayer nature, but I won't get into that as I'm just posting about the press conference for anyone who cares but didn't see it.
After FO76, they showed a new free mobile Elder Scrolls. Nothing wrong with it but seemingly a lame ending to a hyped show...
Then after thanking the team and making it seem like it was over, he revealed a new next-gen IP everyone thought wouldn't be confirmed...Starfield! No other details, but clearly a futuristic single player RPG.
And as if that wasn't enough, they made everyone go nuts by finally teasing Elder Scrolls 6. Seems like its still 3-4 years away though, but it will do a good job shutting up the fans especially since they made it clear the development order of all these projects.
It went from the worst showcase ever to really damn good and satisfying in a quick turn of events. Whew.
Now let the arguing over whether FO76 will be good or ruin the series commence, of course.
