Video in Foxboro tonight (1 Viewer)

I was at the game in Foxboro tonight. On the unnecessary roughness penalty on McCourty, there was no call at all. Then, the video operator kept showing the hit on the big board in the stadium. The refs were huddled together watching the replay (over and over), then threw the flag.

After that, no replays were shown until the next play was run. Kind of amusing.

IMO, I thought it was ridiculous that the flag didn't come out immediately. Pats and Steelers get away with more then most teams.

A somewhat related thing happened in the Giants/Eagles game.

When DeSean Jackson of the Eagles looked like he fumbled without being touched the Giants recovered the ball. Reid wasn't sure if he was touched or not but the replay on the Jumbo Tron was never shown. The Giants ran a play and at that time it was too late to challange. Jackson was indeed touched by a Giant player so he should have been down by contact before the fumble.

I want to add that the Giants player, Phillips, was leveled by Schmitt.

Refs aren't supposed to use the big screen, but they do. There's a reason the operator isn't supposed to show close plays that could hurt the home team. The guy at Foxboro shouldn't have been replaying the hit.

You must not have seen too many Steeler games this year.

Steelers have been getting flagged left and right the past few weeks meanwhile teams have been treating Big Bens head like a pinata and not getting flagged.
:goodposting: Pats, Packers, Cowboys and Colts get tons of breaks. But don't see how you can say that Steelers have been. If anything, Harrison is unfairly targeted by refs.

:lmao: Was that what all of those holding, PI, and illegal celebration penalties earlier in the year were? The Steelers have been treated harshly by refs this year, but I haven't seen a biased amount of breaks for the Cowboys or the other 3 teams you mention. Some individual players like Brady or Manning get some favorable calls but I don't think the teams do as a whole.

Harrison gets held like he is falling off a cliff. Wrapped around the neck, sometimes they tackle him, pull his jersey....maybe 1 out of 10 get called....MAYBE.Steelers are playing against 12-15 people each week(team and refs). And yet are still 10-4, will be 12-4, and go to cheat city USA for the AFC finals, its not enough the Brady beeotch boys are good, they get everything in their favor, cheat....oh well, here is a fine. Touch their QB, get 15 yards. Its Ravens and Steelers, bring the belt back to the AFC North, where it belongs, where real men play real football.

They never showed the replay? So that's why he didn't throw that flag. I'm sure it was just a coincidence.
