Vote for a friend: AKA Nerdiest thing I've ever asked for (1 Viewer)

Yes, there are plenty of people asking the FFA to vote for important things like their business, or kid, or career, or charity or other garbage like that. But what I'm asking is way better than all of those.

My buddy is a finalist for the 2017 Yahoo! Toyota Fantasy Football Hall of Fame. Yes, it turns out that that is a real thing. I would love to make it official that he is the nerdiest person that I've ever met by helping him obtain this "honor".

So do me a favor and please click the link below and vote for Dan Lentz.

Note: You can vote once per day

TIA

We need to get someone from here on that list and get them in next year.  Tim seems like a good candidate.  Someone else has to write his bio, though.

That would be phenomenal schtick. The catch is that you had to have played quite a few leagues in total on Yahoo I imagine and have to have a pretty good winning percentage that they can verify.

If Dan wins I hope he puts

I was a finalist for the 2017 Yahoo! Toyota Fantasy Football Hall of Fame.

In his Tinder profile.

My teams win in the regular season…and dominate the post season, winning 67% of games.

I’ve been playing Fantasy Football since I was 10 in 1990 – long before most people heard of fantasy sports and before many fantasy players were even born.

I was winning leagues when we had to add our scores up by hand out of newspapers instead of being done online automatically. Owners had to search high and low for players then- there weren’t any TV personalities to hype names with their sleeper picks. Today I look for undervalued players every year, players who are consistent for their NFL teams will be consistent for mine.

I’ve been playing Yahoo Fantasy Football since 2002 and in that time I’ve been in 48 leagues, won 14, and finished with a trophy 31 times. My teams win in the regular season (60 win% with playoff appearances in 69% of leagues) and dominate the post season winning 67% of games. It may have taken some time but I finally achieved an undefeated season in 2016 in a family and friends league, going 16-0. Together with a 15-1 romp through a Yahoo Public League made it one of my favorite years ever.

Fantasy football is a way for me to enjoy the game of football with friends and family that are scattered across the country. Fantasy football is more fun when it’s done with people you know- win or lose. I’m frequently called to give advice on drafts, trades, and lineups and it’s satisfying to see people I’ve helped to learn, improve, and become a bigger challenge each year. I suspect being a candidate for the Hall of Fame will create even more calls and I’ll be happy to help!

I grew up near the Hall of Fame in Canton so I’ve seen what it takes to become a legend. It takes years of success and devotion and that’s what I’ve added to this game. It’s an honor to be a candidate for the Toyota Legends of Fantasy Football Hall of Fame. It will be even more of an honor to take my place among the greats this game has to offer and enter the Hall to join them.

He's married with a kid. Kid looks just like him, so I think he's good on that front.

I'm pretty sure his wife is making fun of him over this though.
