W12 Sunday AM Notes (1 Viewer)

Week 12 looks like a relatively straightforward week on the defensive side of the ball. There are a few linebacker situations to monitor and some minor cornerback injuries that shouldn’t affect may fantasy leagues. Please post questions on any of those minor situational issues if you have them.

Sean Weatherspoon returned to limited practices this week and could return to play. It’s possible, though, that Atlanta could hold him out of either the base defense or subpackages in his first week back.

Eric Wright is questionable with an Achilles problem that continues to hamper him. If he plays, it’s likely he’ll rotate at best. Leonard Johnson should continue to see plenty of snaps.

DJ Williams played a role in subpackages last week, with Keith Brooking continuing to see the base MLB snaps and Wesley Woodyard playing every down at WLB. There’s been nothing in the Denver media hinting at how things may change this week, but I expect that Williams will start seeing more snaps soon.

Leslie Frazier hinted strongly that Erin Henderson could see more nickel snaps this week in his post-game press conference. We’ll see if that means he’ll get more than the series-for-series rotation with Jasper Brinkley of Week 10.

The Raiders cut Aaron Curry this week, putting Miles Burris back into an unquestioned every-down role.

Calais Campbell is questionable with his calf injury, but was able to get through his first limited practices in some time this week. He said earlier in the week that he wanted to return this week, but Whisenhunt is still calling him a GTD.

Clay Matthews is still out for Green Bay. Erik Walden and Dezman Moses will continue to get the majority of the OLB snaps.

Kenny Phillips could be back this week, but likely in a subpackage role only. It’s doubtful that he significantly impacts the snaps of Stevie Brown yet.

Thomas Davis played every down last week and should do so again this week. Charles Johnson isn’t on the injury report after last week’s head injury.

Schefter reporting Weatherspoon will play today.
Did he have any thought on if he will be in all the subpackages?
Somehow I doubt subpackages even crossed Schefter's mind...
:lol:We're not going to get any comment on Weatherspoon's rotational status unless a TB beat reporter notes that he's not on the lineup card as a starter. It's extremely rare to get any valuable information from the AJC or Falcons.com on anything.

Joe Haden is active today vs. Pittsburgh. Thoughts on his tackle chances with Batch at QB? First glance is not too appealing IMO. Wondering what others think?

DJ Williams posted a donut this week - what gives!

I didn't start him this week but I am hoping to use him in the playoffs.
