Richard Seymour, Derek Cox and Albert Haynesworth among afternoon inactives so far.

Stewart Bradley reportedly cleared by independent neurologist to return to practice Wednesday.

Keith Rivers is INACTIVE today. Brandon Johnson will replace him in the lineup and he makes an interesting LB3 flyer.Lardarius Webb, Ray Lewis, Jarrett Johnson and Dannell Ellerbee are all active today.

Cedric Griffin still out in Minnesota.

Tyler Brayton inactive for CAR. Panthers have only three ends active today, expect Everette Brown and Greg Hardy to see 30-40 snaps each.

William Hayes INACTIVE again this week for TEN. @jwyattsports: Hayes is nearly recovered from knee injury, but the #Titans clearly liked what they saw from their other defensive ends last week

Reports are that Miami is moving Randy Starks to DE, with Paul Soliai at NT, presumably for matchup purposes. Something to watch for those who have Starks eligible at DT.

DeAndre Levy is INACTIVE today. Louis Delmas is ACTIVE. Turk McBride starts for Cliff Avril, Landon Johnson for Levy again.

Channing Crowder, Jared Odrick and Ikaika Alama-Francis inactive today. Would expect Bobby Carpenter to replace Crowder again, with Dobbins seeing more snaps against the power MIN running game.

Keith Ellison officially starting for Paul Posluszny.

Jamar Chaney is active for Philadelphia this week. Probably a non-factor v DET, but worth a look sometime later today/this week to see if he's getting any LB snaps today.

As expected, D'Qwell Jackson is inactive today.

Paul Posluszny is expected to miss at least two games with a MCL sprain. Keith Ellison will start in his place, but Akin Ayodele will likely see a number of base defensive snaps. Andra Davis is risky, too, without confirmation that he’ll see nickel snaps facing the multi-WR sets of GB. Brandon Siler will start for Stephen Cooper, who’s out with a foot injury this week. Kevin Burnett was an every-down player last week, but Siler should be as well. Both are reasonable LB3 plays.

D’Qwell Jackson could be back next week after doing limited work in practice this week.

Erik Coleman has been declared out this week. William Moore will start in his place at SS.

DeMarcus Ware practiced fully on Friday and should play.

Omar Gaither starts and probably plays every down in place of Stewart Bradley, who looks on track to return next week.

Osi Umenyiora didn’t practice Friday with a knee problem. Michael Boley was already likely to see lots of snaps this week against Indianapolis (since the Giants are more likely to play nickel and coverage packages than the Big Base) but the need for Mathias Kiwanuka along the front line should make Boley’s playing time an even surer bet.

David Hawthorne isn’t on the injury report this week, and it’ll be interesting to see if he sees more subpackage duty against the Denver spread offense after sitting frequently last week.

Cliff Avril is out this week and Louis Delmas and DeAndre Levy have been limited and are listed questionable. Delmas said he felt great after last week’s game and is expected to play. Levy looked close during warmups last week and is being called 50-50. If you’ve got another reasonable option, I’d sit Levy one more week (assuming he’s active).

Melvin Bullitt is in for Bob Sanders this week. Robert Mathis as added to the injury report Friday with an ankle injury and is questionable, as is Clint Session who was limited with a hamstring injury. Indy media is weak as usual on these, reports are that Session is less likely to play than Mathis (and Brackett, who didn’t practice Friday with a back problem). It’s a Sunday night game, so don’t expect anything more here. I’ll post anything I find before the inactives later tonight. My best guess is that Mathis and Brackett play, with Mathis potentially rotating out of more snaps than last week. I’d consider benching Session if I had another option, or potentially sneaking Angerer onto the roster in case either LB sits.

William Hayes practiced fully on Thursday and Friday. He’s questionable but seems likely to play.

Channing Crowder is out again, but Bobby Carpenter and Tim Dobbins are too risky to put in your lineup.

The nickel replacement for Larry Grant last week (Chris Chamberlain) is out with a toe injury but the Rams claimed Bryan Kehl, who has enough of a history with Steve Spagnuolo that he could assume the nickel backer role.

Jairus Byrd should see more snaps this week, but likely won’t be an every-down player yet.

Ray Lewis, Jarrett Johnson and Jameel McClain are listed questionable this week. All three have said they’ll play.

Keith Rivers is questionable and there’s been no discussion in the media about whether he’s likely to play.

A preseason setback has finally been put completely in the rearview mirror for Jairus Byrd, which will allow the Pro Bowl free safety to return to the starting lineup on Sunday.

“I think Jairus will be back and I think he’ll be able to play the whole game,” head coach Chan Gailey told Buffalobills.com Friday. “Hopefully we won’t be on the field as many snaps this week and we can control the ball offensively and get off on third down and he won’t have to play as many snaps.”

“I feel really good and I’m encouraged about how my body feels and what I’m able to do out there so I’m excited,” Byrd said.

Keith Rivers is INACTIVE today. Will confirm Brandon Johnson as starter, but he makes an interesting LB3 flyer for now.

ETA: Johnson officially replaces Rivers in the lineup today.

Does this make Charles Johnson the every down starter?

Johnson has been an every-down starter throughout camp and last week. He moves inside to tackle in nickel packages.

That's a wrap on the early inactives. I'll keep an eye out for late-breaking news and lineup changes, then get the afternoon news (and anything I hear about IND tonight) when I see it.

Best of luck this week, everybody.
