Sitting up grabbing his knee..here comes the cart as they walk him to it.Still down as trainers are attending to him. Got whiplashed on the last play..Rodney Harrison down on the field..
Not sure I agree with that. I think McCareins messed up the play, although the commentator echoed your thoughts. The CB broke before McCareins, which makes me think either McCareins and Pennington weren't on the same page, or McCareins was just running an ugly route. Either way, both players looked terrible today. About the only positive thing was the Jets run D was excellent on Fred Taylor.TKO update off the AP wire:Pennington INT in OT was direct result of not having the arm strength it looked like. Threw an out that just floated.

Didn't look good. Cart on the field now. I've got him in IDP.look like ACL?Harrison ugly knee injury.

Looked like total demolition of knee ligaments to me.If they didn't snap, they're made of rubber.look like ACL?Harrison ugly knee injury.

I don't think it's broken saint. The knee gives away there to keep bones intact usually.Jlooked broken...
Duane Starks back on the field for NE at db.CB Duane Starks was also injured on the first play of the game...
I'm speculating that a turf toe injury which is what we've got right now would not be good for a WR as opposed to a RB or other position.Thinking seriously about Kevin Curtis. Any updates on Curtis?Any updates on I. Bruce?
I haven't been able to find out anything new.....
I'd say the year, if not his career. He's to old to regain his form. Loss of not "a" but "a couple" steps at his age.Harrison has gona be out for about a month IF he is lucky
Okay guys let's not get ahead of ourselves..I'd say the year, if not his career. He's to old to regain his form. Loss of not "a" but "a couple" steps at his age.Harrison has gona be out for about a month IF he is lucky
Sounds like there is a BUT coming from you. If not, let me take the heat for you. I hate to see any player get hurt, but if I had to pick one, it'd be that guy getting carted off the field.Rodney Harrison is carted off the field in Pittsburgh.....looks to be a serious knee injury.
Hate to see any player get hurt.......
Discuss.
But you have to clarify that like Bernstein did. She said something about this being the patriots so dont read too much into it.I'd be shocked to see him return this game.According to reports..return is questionable. This is for Rodney H..
The ankle rolled too but the primary injury looked to be to the knee. The trainers were definitely spending more time on the knee.JYahoo & Fanball report broken ankle. Flopping around like noodle.

About how many passes did he throw after coming back in?Was there a definite difference in the way he was throwing the ball afterwards?Pennington INT in OT was direct result of not having the arm strength it looked like. Threw an out that just floated.

I only have a radio today so I didn't see the play. I wouldn't expect him back this year from the way it sounds. The ankle rolled too but the primary injury looked to be to the knee. I'd say he looked 15% less than he did in the first quarter. The big problem is that in the first Q he showed barely marginal arm strength. Pennington has had girly arm all year because of the rotator cuff surgery. He wasn't fit when he finally came back and there was A TON of speculation that the Jets deliberately downplayed the severity to begin with. This shoould be a nice "COACHSPEAK" topic. Pro Football Talk had a lot of coverage on it.
You think the blow injured and rehurt the arm? Penny's not been effective anyways so far with the arm and the new OC's system calls for longer pass plays, which even when healthy Pennington hasn't thrived at. They've really, really struggled.
Even if Penny can so to speak, play, get on the field, I wonder if Fiedler, if he wasn't seriously injured, would perform better for the Jets and become the starter. Hey, like baseball, if the starter stinks it up, he gets yanked. If Fiedler will help the team win and Pennington causes the team to lose I would see no other option.
Jay is not Dan Marino but I happen to think he's a lot better than people give him credit for. He's got talent and the supporting cast there in NY, Coles, McCareins, Chrebet, plus coupla TE's is pretty good. Plus, the offensive system is a little more pass oriented than Miami's Ricky Williams - Wannestedt ultra conservative, power rushing attack which he played in. They had some nice playmakers in Chambers + McMichael but they were certianly misused. McMichael as an in line blocker frequently rather than what Saban is doing with him now, moving him around like the Chief's do with a fleet footed Gonzo. McMichael begged to be able to do this. And there's no way a stud WR like Chambers would come in under 1,000 yards on any team but Wannestedt's Dolphins. Fiedler got dogged because he was a 150 yard passer in Miami but he could start for some teams in the NFL.
Matt Light down. Knee or ankle. Pats players are dropping like flies.Givens now down...geez.
Warner broke or benched?McCown in at QB for Zona.
Can't he just use his left groin instead?Warner suffered right groin injury--return questionable
Big Ben on his feet and walking off...Roeth down on the ground...he got twisted around after throwing a pass. May have had the breathe knocked out of him announcers say..

Went back and cleaned this up some. Runs a lot nicer after the edit. Thanks for the opinion.15% less on an arm that was maybe 80% to begin with could be Very Meaningful.

Maybe I'm too anxious but I dropped Rattay (over dropping Ant. Wright) for Fiedler. I'm looking to cover Culpepper's Week 5 bye and looking for a long term backup solution as well. Damn, Jets play Tampa Week 5. Great defense, good passing defense too. #1 in league right now. Made move forgetting I should look at Jets. Had looked at Baltimore (at Detroit, weak D) and San Fran (looked great initially as Colts were offensive juggernauts, Rattay can post some #'s, and they would be playing from behind. Lots of passing. Now Colts are great on D?) though already.
Questionable to return with shoulder injury. But it looks like he's planning on coming back.Roeth down on the ground...he got twisted around after throwing a pass. May have had the breathe knocked out of him announcers say..
