Waiver Wire & FAAB Discussion - Week #10 (9 Viewers)

Demario Douglas has flashed the potential to produce in limited targets
DD has an improving QB which greatly helps
4-100-TD yesterday
3-70-TD vs Buffalo 3 weeks prior to that

He's only about 5-7/5-8, he's never going to be a WR1, he's a support WR all the way but if he's gonna be boom/bust about every 3rd week then he has value

Another crowded receiving room, but Alec Pierce is showing that he's not just a one-big-game-in-a-blue-moon guy.

Plus for keeper/dynasty leagues, he's a free agent after this year and likely going to get paid in the offseason.

Boutte left early. Haven’t seen if it’s serious or not

Parker Washington for sure if he's out there. He was already out-targeting BTJ even before BTJ got injured late.
I almost let him go. Well, I did for a moment, but picked him back up before the game yesterday. As a BTJ owner, I fear he is toast this year. He got hurt again, but it's deeper than just the ankle, it's also the shoulder and whatever is rolling around between his ears.

Isiah Likely could also be a sneaky TE pickup. Andrews got all the headlines with the two TEs, but that was also on only three targets. Likely is playing just as much and had four targets himself.

ETA: while the defense has improved in recent weeks, Lamar is having to throw a lot more than in past years

Musgrave will be a high priority for teams, but I'm not sure he's a league winner or anything close to it. The Packers will certainly go to him, but probably not as much as they did Kraft. They will throw it more to their WRs, or run it even more with Jacobs.

I’m here to shop for a tight end after losing Kraft. I also have no FAAB (thanks Woody Marks) so I’m at the will of the rest of the league. So I guess I just stack a bunch of guys in the order I like them and pray.

I never carry a backup TE by nature. Almost picked up Kincaid Sunday morning but opted for a WR as I’d just lost one to injury for depth.

Kincaid
Andrews
Schultz
Johnson
Ertz
Freirmuth
Pitts
Hockenson
Musgrave

A lot of names on here. Very little hope I get Kincaid with no FAAB. But one of these guys will be a dart throw.

That's quite a list of options. I like Pitts.

How much was it being the Bengals is my main question with spending big on him this weekend.
It would be interesting to see the list of players that went off against the Bengals, got picked up for big FAAB and then went on to do nothing the next few weeks and then back to waivers.
problem with taking these players..... the Bengals might be the worst Defense in the league. so its hard to put a whole lot of stock in someone who has blown up against a defense that really doesnt defend.

certainly if you are needy its worth a roll of the dice, but if you truly expect these guys to save your season, you may be asking a lot. if these guys had performed against a real defense I'd be more inclined to think it means something.

He may not even be the guy to own on Green Bay

Parker Washinigton has me very intrigued. He has looked good the past couple weeks and now BJT + Dyami Brown got banged up last week.

Dude may be in for a ton of targets if those guys are both out, although he faces a tough Texans D.

Yeah, tough matchup this week, but I still would seriously consider starting him even if BTJ does play. Long-term he's definitely worth a roster spot

What are Daniels managers doing going forward? I had Flacco on the roster from last week but dropped him on Saturday because I figured Daniels was back, Flacco might not even play and then he was going on bye anyway. Now I would kill to have him back ROS. Hope he clears waivers.

As for Week 10, I'm targeting eithr JJM vs Baltimore or Penix vs Indy. Don't love either option (and despite the season-long numbers, I'm no longer so sure Ravens are a good matchup) but hopefully that can just get me through the week.

Also, since I have Bowers and Gadsden, I'm hoping I can unload OG to a TE-needy team in exchange for a QB. Particularly targeting the team that just lost Kraft and is currently rostering Maye, Nix and Love

I did the same exact thing dropping Flacco on Saturday. I will try re-adding him this week but I also have Purdy. What a cluster f.

I'm second guessing myself a lot on that decision, but I really do think the process made sense. It just turned into the worst possible scenario of him blowing up at the same time Daniels was lost for the season. Also, in fairness, I dropped him to pick up (and start) Monangai, who helped me to a win

Trying to wait for the trade deadline but the Meyers deal may be it for Offensive Fantasy impact players.

Trey Benson is out there in multiple leagues. Any indication on when he will be back from IR?
I'm shocked he is available.
Why do folks feel the need to post stuff like this. Every league is different and the stats above show that he is available in 36% of leagues so there should be no shock that he is in fact available in leagues
NOT IN MY LEAGUE!!!!!!!!!!!!

(In all seriousness, he was available in a fairly sharp 12-teamer -- that has IR slots! -- as well as a semi-sharp 14-team family league. I think sometimes guys just slip through the cracks. I myself didn't realize until this week that he was still available.)

ETA: Also, responses like @Payne 's actually are helpful because it reassured me, "Hey, I'm not crazy here, I need to pick this guy up ASAP, right? There's not some new info that I'm unaware of?"

Fair enough. Didn't mean for it to come off like that. I understand all leagues are different.
That being said, with the RB situation in fantasy the way it is, I'm shocked he is available in normal, 12 team leagues.

So, Parker Washington and Tory Horton were just one week rentals, or are we still trying to claim them?
Hard to say for the immediate/near future. Washington seemed to have been in synch with Lawrence, and it wouldn't surprise me if he stays relevant, at least until Hunter returns and muddies the pecking order somewhat. Seattle seems to like Horton a lot and he was in the target mix even when Kupp was on the field. I don't think either is a "definite drop' with the recent changes, even in redraft. In long-term (dynasty) situations, obviously, I think they're both worth hanging on to (especially Horton).

Washington I'm definitely grabbing if available. Keeping if I have him.

Horton, if you need to make a move, I can see dropping him. Worth waiting to see what happens with Shaheed a week or 2 but he'll be back to WR3 again I think.

HUGE BIG FAT THANK YOU for doing this so thoroughly each week. I barely watch anymore and wouldn’t have a clue about most of these names if not for the way you’ve been presenting this.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
