Waiver Wire Gems - For Upcoming Week 11 (1 Viewer)

The current #1 seed in my main league is starting Adam Humphries right now, with AJ Green hurting.  Even very good teams can have glaring holes.
The current #1 seed in my league lost Cupp and is hurting at WR.  To be fair, he is still in great shape with 3 stud RBs and fills both RB spots and the flex spots with those RBs but still needs something to fill his second WR spot.  I assume he is trying to grab Reynolds or Miller when waivers run at noon today.    He has the 5 spot in the waiver order and hopefully, the teams with earlier WW spots are smart enough to pick up Reynolds or Miller before him to weaken his roster.

Chris Carson is a go for tonight's game. So whoever picked up Penny because they need him this week is kinda screwed.

"When everybody’s healthy, not everybody’s going to get the ball,"  [Pete] Carroll said. "That’s just the way it goes. Chris [Carson] is going to be healthy this week.

Any quote with [Pete] Carroll said immediately before or after it can, and should, be completely disregarded.

Fair point. I'm still gonna look for another option. Should have known better than to mess around with Seahawks RBs

I can’t imagine serious playoff teams could be helped by any of these guys.
Currently sitting at #1 with a (hopeful) first round bye. With injuries and byes, I am most likely picking up Jacquizz Rodgers for a spot start this week. So I have to disagree with you.

Of course he won't play this year.  My point was to pay respect to him by allowing Conner to take you to the promised land.  It would kind of be like Peyton reserving a bench spot for Eli on his fantasy team.
Actually, Archie has always had Brees in his dynasty league.  "Sorry. Peyton and Eli, you know how competitive I am and Drew gave me the best shot to win".

DFS Prayer type or if your team has a roster spot to play with due to injuries....not a sincere prediction I'd back but...

Nick Williams might be the Rams slot guy.

I don't see Reynolds as the slot type. He's 6-4? and I think he's an outside guy.

Williams had a real good summer in TEN and then was cut. He was brought back and played right away then choked on an important catch and didn't finish a route triggering an INT. He was cut right after. Lesson learned, McVay picked up LaFleur's boy and Williams played right away for the Rams. He only had one catch IIRC but I was surprised that he could be signed and play in days.

Aside from the two systems that are theoretically similar, Williams played for McVay in Washington and LaFleur in Atlanta previously too. There's a real connection for a short quick guy that's done very little in the NFL.

McVay was quoted as saying Williams is wired to separate.

Edit to add his pfr page https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/W/WillNi02.htm I don't think he is very good and he doesn't have a good statistical history, but that connection is there

If a team has built a decent record  with the help in part by A.J. Green and now are looking to replace him, someone like Corey Davis (shallow leagues) or Anthony Miller can definitely help.

Cosell wondering if it'll be Nick Williams too. Said they can't rely on him, right? But they have to keep the big plays in their offense and they won't do that by bringing one of their outside receivers to the slot.

What’s the thought on Tre’Quan Smith?  He was a hot commodity for awhile before he took a goose egg last weekend.  There is not a lot of competition for targets after Thomas and the RBs.
Well, doe, he's the #2 WR on one of the top passing teams in the NFL, catching balls from a future HOF QB.  This week is a particularly great matchup against an Eagles pass defense that was floundering even before losing Ronald Darby to an ACL tear.  Makes sense to pick him up this week and see how he performs
