Waiver Wire Gems - Week 2 (1 Viewer)

Why would you drop before you see the team he would get signed to? Not following the logic on this one.
I think he's talking about the erroneous report early on Sat. that he had been released and was facing a year-long suspension.

So drop your fourth-sixth round pick on speculation of a suspension?
If you're drunk enough?

I certainly wasn't dropping him and I took him anywhere within the 4th-5th rounds in the drafts I was in. He might have caused someone to throw their hands up and hit the wire before Sunday.

not an inspiring list this week. seen breida's name a couple times so far this thread.... curious what his trade value is at this point. would love to sell high as the morris timeshare isnt going away
Dynasty .. sold for a high 2nd Round Rookie pick before season began

David Moore/Jaron Brown worth looking at?
Jaron Brown never did much of anything in AZ before and he had opportunities. I don't expect anything different now because he's had opportunities this season. Moore is a preseason darling but he might be a week away from any breakout. Some Seattle observers talk about how excited they are about Moore getting a his chance because they weren't sure it would come with the other players ahead of him. Moore can be had cheaper and offers a decent upside after Jaron likely disappears against the Bears defense.

I"m a Morris backer, and have to admit Breida looks good..it's a full blown RBBC, you're hoping for an injury if you own either guy..

Aaron Jones is the best pickup of the RB bunch this week - but he should've been added last week.

Golladay is a solid pick up if still available. in one of my 10 team leagues he is

Lindsay if available. Ekeler is the man to own , like someone already said , he's probably going to be the A Kamara of 2018.

for QBs, it's time to seriously consider Baker Mayfield. Fitzmagic is a great story, but ask any Jets' fan what they think of him and they'll tell you that he's good for a few weeks, then he gets a lil careless, starts throwing untimely picks, costs his team a big win, etc..unless you believe Fitzmagic has some sort of Rich Gannon late season pro bowl QB stats left in him, at this point you gotta  think the sneaky-good play is Jameis Winston..

Nick Chubb for deeper leagues. maybe?

Gio Bernard will NOT give that starting RB job back to Mixon, it's his for the remainder of the season. Cincy coaching staff NEEDS wins.NEEDS a playoff appearance or they're all gone at the end of the season..they will go with whats working - and Mixon hasn't really gotten it done in his brief NFL career..Gio is more well-rounded. clearly he's the better back

Dolphins defense?

Coach Sean McVay said K Greg Zuerlein (groin) will be out "at least a few weeks."

Zuerlein injured his groin at the end of pregame warmups ahead of Week 2. He's not going on I.R. for the time being, as the Rams will try to wait it out. Fantasy owners can cut bait though, unless your roster has an injury spot. Los Angeles brought back K Sam Ficken on Monday while Zuerlein is out. Sep 17 - 8:03 PM

Why the strong love for Aaron Jones? Just curious.

No Joe Flacco mentions?

He’s available is all leagues I play in and third in the league in passing attempts. Most of us were high on Collins (and most still are) but he also gained Crab and John Brown. The drafting of Jackson might have been the kick in the pants he needed.

I’m debating between him and Fitz for this week and everything in my head tells me to go with Flacco.

Keelan Cole in PPR - WR2? WR3?  Need to grab? Seems like when any of the following happen, he might regress:

1) Fournette return
2) Not playing the Pats

Over who? QB is so deep I see no reason to roster Flacco.

I love Cole. Have him in most of my leagues. He is a little boom/bust’ish but 10-15 in ppr a week with the chance for some big weeks is how I see him.

Personally I have Matt Ryan and Tyrod Taylor. Other options on the wire are Fitzpatrick, Foles, Eli, Tannehill, and Bortles.

Mayfield eventually gets his shot. Fitz will fizzle and likely give way to Winston. Foles is already out this week. Eli isn’t getting better and neither is his OL. Tannehill is another sneaky option. Bortles could be an option but when Fournette is back, he’ll be back to mostly 180 yard throwing games.

I think most could do a lot worse across the season than having Flacco as a backup or spot starter. Consider as well that he did very well against a game Bengals defense and still gets Pittsburgh twice (though LAC in the fantasy super bowl).

Sony Michel, James White, John Brown and Chris Godwin are all still out there in my league how would you rank them (PPR).  I'd rank them:

James White

Chris Godwin

John Brown

Sony Michel (last but like his upside)

I'd have to drop someone like Dion Lewis, Robby Anderson or Burkhead for them

someone cut josh gordon to pick up a receiver for this week. guess they figured he failed a test...

blind bidding on him is gonna be bonkers.

Please explain why you would burn even a blind bid $1 or waive priority position for a rental kicker when we aren't even in bye weeks.  Right now there are 7 or the top 10 kickers in the IBL have free agent versions available including K 1, 3, 4, and 5.

How strongly would people go in for Gio ?

Not sure how to proceed, sitting 4th in WW, pretty set with RB options and don't really want to burn it, however opponent this week is just behind me, needs an RB badly and will surely pick him up as a play this week.

Trying to balance that all up with how standard a procedure Mixon has had and whether its pretty much a given that he'll be back in about two weeks with no lasting effects. Gio is surely a very high play whenever Mixon is out

Kickers should be extinct in fantasy football.  The reason I say that is that most years there isn't that much difference between #2 and #10.

As an Ndroppu owner, I'll be looking to add a TE. Only question is which one?

Dissly, ASJ, Butt, James, Hooper all available. Leaning Hooper, ASJ, James in that order. Not looking to spend more than minimum bids on any.

I'm here as well. Leaning Dissly-Hooper-Butt. In that order.

In same situation. Leaning Dissly. Watch Njoku grab two TDs Thursday night.

I'd go for James because I think he will at least put up average numbers most weeks...but I honestly think I may keep Njoku.  I dropped him in my league because I have Ertz/Reed, but if I didn't I think I would probably be comfortable starting him this week.

I'd go Hooper first. He was being talked up as looking fantastic in the off season. Jake Butt is quietly becoming the man in Denver. ASJ has been super unlucky in the TD department so he may have some positive regression.

I know Dallas Goedert hasn't done anything and actually looks to be the number 3 TE in Philly but something tells me he is going to be real good before the season is over.

ASJ comfortably for me. Once you get outside the top 3-4 TEs you're really playing for TD upside and ASJ offers more TD potential than any other name on that list (Hooper is probably #2, at least as long as Sark is calling the plays there and refuses to throw to Julio in the RZ).

Go get him. Not even close imo. 2weeks or borderline RB1 and then who knows is easily worth a ww drop.

I’m looking at Hooper too, and think he maybe a breakout candidate.

Lots of fluff pieces on him during camp.  Ryan said he has improved a lot and will have a big year, Quinn came out and said he will be more involved and he has been so far. Him and Ryan worked all offseason together.

Falcons need a RZ threat and if things go right I think he could become the second option in this offense in general.

I’m thinking of dropping Njoku straight up for him as I don’t have the bench space.

If you don't need him that bad I'd just bid enough so someone else doesn't get him cheaply...either that or have a traded lined up for post-acquisition.

I expect the same from Goedert

Do others in here share this opinion? Because my thinking was that when Mixon returns Gio goes back to being the 3rd down/Change of pace back he’s always been.

Mixon is currently 2nd in the league in rushing.  He has been fantastic and Cincy invested a second round pick in him.  He'll be right back to starting when he returns
