Wallets-what do you guys carry? (1 Viewer)

Thinking of going to a more "minimalist" type of wallet. I think I can cut down to around 6 or 7 cards including ID and I rarely ever carry more than a $20 in cash. I do carry in my front pocket.

I downsized a couple years ago to a Trove Cash Wrap. It'll accommodate seven cards and has a pocket and elastic band. I'd buy another if it ever wears out.

got a Runbox on Amazon a few years ago based on someone's recommendation here and still love it. in fact i meant to get another one in different color. it held up well, had it for at least three years now. cheap but not cheap looking, money clip in the center, enough room for my ID and roughly 4-6 cards at any given time

there was a pretty good wallet thread around here, lots of good suggestions in there if you care to search for it. haven't seen it in a year or two so kind of old but all the name brand mentioned there I'm sure are all still available.

Been using a money clip for 15+ yrs. Love it. My ID, a few cards (6/7) and the rare few times I have actual cash is all I carry. Works perfect and fits in my front pocket super comfortably.

I use the m-clip (https://www.m-clip.com/Shop/). Wife bough me one 10+ yrs ago and it still holds like day one.

Swiss Army zipper bifold. It’s nylon and doesn’t hold much. I’ve been using them for years. Not sure they make them any more.

Upsized a year ago from driver’s license + cc to a money clip with those two, plus med ins and Costco card.

Feels a little excessive, to be honest, but I got tired of waiting for my wife to fumble for her card when buying in bulk. As a bonus, the Costco card protects the credit card from being scratched by the clip.

Switched to the JCrew Magic Wallet 20 years ago and haven't looked back. Only needed replacement once and I'm due for another. They last a long time.

Money clip since the end of college (88). 2-cards........debit and credit (rotates depending on which is giving the best rewards), insurance card, 3 business cards, and cash (usually never more than $50, as back in day kids would siphon off of it thinking I wouldn't notice).

I just got the Kingsloot Hybrid recently. I like it so far. I did eliminate a few cards that I was unnecessarily carrying around.

I kinda hate you for showing me that because at first I laughed and immediately thought "what kind of moron spends $80 on a half-assed, half of a wallet?" but then I watched the video and I get it and now I want one. . . it's perfect. . . crap. :)

Just ordered one. Have been looking to downsize, but not quite ready to do a clip or really minimalist wallet. The code TY20 will get you 20% off at checkout.

I honestly don’t understand what you guys that still carry full wallets are carrying in them. I carry 3 cards - DL, bank card and Costco (and that one is stupid because their gas pumps can’t read their mobile app at my location.

License, school id for kids school (required), building id for work, 2x cc (business, personal) and 2x debit, anti-swipe card protector, MTA subway card. Cash. Lots and lots of condoms.

Cash. I carry a fair amount for when I go to the farmers market. I also have three kids in sports so I prefer having cash to pay the entry fees at high school events and concessions stands because everybody has to have a gottdam snack everywhere we go even though we just had dinner not to mention the "i need $5 for the PTA book fair" and "i need this and i need that" on a day to day basis because they all forgot to tell us about all this sheeeeeit when we could have loaded up accounts in advance.......

I’m a FBG. Everyone knows me and I pay for stuff based on my FBG status.

I guess I carry too many cards - 10 plus 2 mini supermarket club cards. If I use up my 2 gift cards I keep carrying around, and transfer my subway TAP card to the phone app, move the market cards to my keychain I should be able to minimize to the new fangled wallets you guys are linking :nerd:

a SECRID mini-wallet

had a bifold for a long time. switched to this.... 5-6 years ago? and won't buy anything else again.
Actually, that looks mighty sweet. But I need to carry more than the 4/6 cards... 2 credit cards, 2 debit cards, AAA card, driver's license, and health insurance cards. So I'm checking out their twin wallet. I just might order one. 50/50 chance as of right now. OK, so you convinced me, chief. I ordered a Twinwallet in vintage cognac. I needed a new wallet, too, so this thread was very apropos.

I have a Bellroy like this (the one I have was a previous version, but pretty similar) I've had mine for about 10 years now and it's still in great shape.

More traditional wallet but still slim. I'm a degenerate gambler so I frequently have cash and don't like the "smart wallets" like the Ridge. I want my money out of sight, not strapped to the outside of my cards.

Looks reasonable, except for the double debit. How often do you use those, and why two?

great choice.
i keep a driver's license, credit, debit and library card. plus insurance card tucked in the inside sleeve and a little cash. love that it's small, unobtrusive and i can carry it in my front pocket without having to sit on the thing.

Oh ****, I'm finally reading the whole thread and somebody beat me to the man purse comment. Good eyes, ChiefD. Good eyes.

I personally conceal and carry the SECRID .38 with the optional pepper spray compartment. Perfect for all your pocket needs.

I try never to carry one in a pocket. I hate any encumbrance beyond my phone and maybe chapstick or weedpen- essentials only. If it's cold enough for a coat, I will put my keys and wallet there. If it's not, I just won't bring them with me.

Minimalist.

Tiny wallet with card slots on one side and a window slot on the other (flips open to show the ID). CC slot side also has an underneath pocket, so insurance and maybe one other can be there.

No cash, haven't carried it for several years.

I also hate cr@p in my pockets. I often leave the phone at home, store stuff in a work locker or backpack, and give non-ID/cc to my wife to put in her purse.
