The Town Drunk
Just saw this movie. .Wow is all I can say. It centers around a sniper team on a mission in Iraq and is supposedly a true story as told by the soldier's memories. Just intense and very realistic battle scenes. What I liked is it didn't feel the need to put a ton of fluff in like we see in so many movies that feel the need to exceed that two hour run time. This one is 95 minutes long. I don't know what they did with the sound recording in this movie, but one of the IED explosions about made me jump out of my seat. I question whether I could even watch this movie in my house with my sound system because I think the neighbors would be calling the cops, People with sensory issues or PTSD may need to think twice before seeing this one. Highly recommend.

I'm interested in this one. It's not preachy?

I'm wondering if my military buddies would want to go see it - I've heard it's quite realistic.

Restrepo from 2010 is worth your time if you've never seen it
Documentary so it's different
Haven't been to a theater in a long time , will check it out when it streams at home

I enjoyed it.

It was refreshingly apolitical. It promised "this is what it feels and sounds like to be in a firefight" and it delivers (I think, I've never been in a firefight and don't want to be).

The sound design is off the charts.
