Week 03 2024 who should I start thread **OFFICIALLY UNOFFICIAL** (1 Viewer)

ppr rb(1/2ppr)

Kyren vsSF
Zamir vsCar
Jacobs @Ten
DJMoore @Indy
Waddle @Sea

pick 2.
Jacobs & Kyren.

I mean, am I missing something?
going with moore/zamir...feels like down games for kyren/jacobs and an up game for zamir. Moore is getting 10 targets a game albeit from a rook...

change my mind
I'm not here to change your mind. I'm here to help you make the choices you think are correct.

It's like a coin toss in that the value doesn't come from whether it lands on heads or tails; rather, while the coin is in the air you suddenly know which side you want it to land on.

I said Kyren & Jacobs because I think they are going to touch the ball 20+ times each. But, on paper, they have tough matchups. Going with them is understandable.

DJ & Zamir have great matchups, on paper. It's also an understandable move.

.5 ppr - pick one
Akers at Minn
R White vs Den
I don't know White's injury status but I don't like that he has one. But it's a good plus matchup at home and I expect the Bucs to roll.

Akers is probably on a short leash but he's getting first crack to be the lead back on a top offense. It does look like a tough road matchup but I think Houston gets it done.

Closeish call but

White>Akers

High Octane Kicker Question

Daniel Carlson (Raiders) home vs Panthers (O/U is 39.5, Raiders favored -5.5)
OR
Chase McLaughlin (Buccaneers) home vs Broncos (O/U is 41.5, Buccs favored -6)

1 Point for XP, 3 points for FG, +1 for FG 50 or over, -1 for missed XP or FG under 50

Uhhhhh... Carlson because, reasons.

Standard League:

Likely vs Dallas (worried about him losing looks to Andrews)

or

Freiermuth vs Chargers

or Juwan Johnson vs Phil (Taysom Hill out)

Thank you!!

.5 PPR

Davante Adams vs Carolina
Godwin vs Broncos
I think you're good either way but I go with Davante. He's still the clear lead WR on his team and it's a good matchup.

Davante>Godwin
Would it make any diff if you had Bowers at TE. Lots of eggs in one basket!
Not really, no. If they're the best you have you should play them.

If the Raiders throw only 20 times Bowers & Davante will probably see 8-9 of those targets each.

And the Raiders can't run.

hard to argue for or against that one
Sorry, they're random number generators.

But, FWIW Carlson has scored more points than all but one kicker over the last 3 years or so

If you get to it:
FFPC scoring:

Play S.Perine over C.Hubbard or A.Thielen?
Or do the unthinkable and keep TWO Panthers in my lineup?

No clue. Probably Muth because he's their second best target IMO. But, really who knows?

Freiermuth>Likely>Juwan

PPR:

Waddle vs Sea (No Tua)
Sutton vs TB
Robinson vs SF
Juan Jennings vs LAR?

Thanks
I've been all in on Jennings this week, which always makes me nervous and want to do something different just because.

But I won't.

Jennings>Waddle

Raiders haven't shown much short yardage ground game, and TB has Evans for the short TDs.

Start Carlson now before Bowers takes over the 50+ FG attempts

Coin toss.

I lean slightly towards the Panthers here. I think they rally a little this week.

6pt passing TD

Purdy @ LAR sans CMC, Deebo, and Kittle

Or

Geno v MIA w/o a proper running game

Projections/Rankings favor Purdy slightly, my gut tells me Geno will keep slinging it around to better weapons.

What say you guys?

I'm benching Purdy in a couple of leagues for Carr and Stoud (not going out on a limb on that one) and and playing him in one over Daniels......so far.

Need my flex...PPR, 6 pts for TDs, bonuses for long TDs, bonuses at 100 yards receiving/rushing.

Brian Thomas Jr. @ BUF
Tank Dell @ MIN
Cam Akers @ MIN

thanks

Another league - PPR, 6 pts for TDs, bonuses for long TDs, bonuses at 100 yards receiving/rushing.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba v. MIA
Chris Godwin v. DEN
Trey McBride v. DET

TEs have special scoring (7 pts for TDs, bonus at 90 yards receiving & at 7 receptions).

I probably go with Akres just based on the fact that he should be the lead back and providing he doesn't fumble or do something stupid should see a lot of opportunities..

I have similarly just benched Purdy for Carr

Godwin seems like the smart choice. I think there's a possibility that the buccaneers roll the broncos and maybe they don't pass so much, but they're not a very good running team.

Mcbride is a solid choice with that scoring system as well. It's a tougher defensive matchup, but that Arizona offense could be very good, even if I think last week was probably deceptive.

Godwin>McBride

By a very slim margin.

Herbert vs Pitt

Or

JK Dobbins vs Pitt?

Or

A Dalton vs Raiders?
I almost always go with the quarterback in the scenario but man Dobbins is playing lights out isn't he?

I guess if Herbert is actually playing... Man I really want to say Dobbins here. Is that wrong?

Ultimately, Dalton is probably the smart choice. I'm guessing he's good for 220 and one and a half touchdowns.

Dalton

Ath WR...Brandin Cooks or Jahan Dotson?

I'm starting Dalton with a wee bit of bile in my mouth.
